florida gateway college timberwolvesNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The NJCAA’s defending champs of Women’s Flag Football – the FLORIDA GATEWAY COLLEGE TIMBERWOLVES – took on the HESSTON COLLEGE LARKS for the 2024 title.

The 1st Half was tightly fought and ended with the Timberwolves up by just 7-6. After the break Florida Gateway College scored another 19 points before the Larks managed a garbage time Touchdown and PAT. The final tally was Timberwolves 26  Hesston College 13. Ashley Smith Quarterbacked FGC to their second National Championship.

kansas wesleyan university coyotesELIMINATION PLAY – DAY ONE: GAME ONE – With Pool Play completed, this elimination game pitted the KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY COYOTES against the MIDLAND UNIVERSITY WARRIORS.

The Coyotes achieved Defensive perfection in this affair as a scoreless opening Quarter was followed by a 7-0 Kansas Wesleyan lead headed into the locker room. From there the Coyotes kept the Warriors off the scoreboard while adding another 7 points of their own to send Midland U. home after a 14-0 loss. 

milligan u buffaloesELIMINATION PLAY – DAY ONE: GAME TWO – Up next the MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY BUFFALOES clashed with the BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS.

The teams were very evenly matched and Halftime found the Buffaloes in the lead 10-9. After the break things remained every bit as competitive, with Milligan University emerging with a tight 19-18 victory when all of the dust had settled.

    Great posts as always. I don’t take an interest in college football or any sport for that matter. That being said, I have always enjoyed reading your posts. This one about women’s college football did remind me of great movies about female athletes that I have seen. For instance, it brought to mind the film “Challengers”. It told the story of a female tennis player that’s torn between keeping romantic relationships and pursing her ambitious sports championships. One of the best movies of the year so far. I don’t have an interest in tennis but I loved it.
