Reaction to last Sunday’s post about Women’s Flag Football was strong enough to keep it going for now.

INSTANT CLASSIC – In this game the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE (Wisconsin) BOBCATS did battle with the FORT SCOTT COLLEGE GREYHOUNDS.
The crowd in attendance got a real treat with a game that was much tighter than many others in this emerging intercollegiate sport. The two teams went score for score for a time until the Bobcats came out on top by a final score of Bryant & Stratton College 18 Greyhounds 12.
LIKE I WAS SAYING ABOVE … – At the other end of the spectrum came this very lopsided affair between the defending champions – the FLORIDA GATEWAY COLLEGE TIMBERWOLVES – and the PASCO-HERNANDEZ STATE BOBCATS.
Pasco-Hernandez State was more like the Timberwolves’ prey than their opponents in this gridiron matchup. Florida Gateway College dominated the Bobcats on both sides of the ball on their way to a FIFTY-ONE to NOTHING blowout win.

BABSON PARK BEATDOWN – Babson Park, Florida was the site of this game pitting the WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS against the visiting CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS (should be the Burgundy Tigers).
Earlier this season, the Royals had defeated Campbellsville University in a 12-6 grudge match, but this game was very different. Warner University had their way with the Tigers all the way to a 39-0 evisceration of the visiting team.
PREDICTABLE – As Women’s Flag Football gets more seasons under its belt more parity among the teams will be achieved, but this game between the THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHT HAWKS and the REINHARDT UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Rottweilers) was business as usual.
The Night Hawks shut out Reinhardt U. while piling up points of their own to win out 42-0. Alexa Wilson of Thomas University passed for 140 yards and ran for 21.
COMPETITIVE MATCHUP SIGHTING – Almost as rare as Bigfoot or Moth Man sightings are close games at this point in Women’s Flag Football history, but the game between the LIFE UNIVERSITY RUNNING EAGLES and the FLORIDA MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY LIONS fit the bill.
The two Sun Conference rivals went at it tooth and nail for 4 Quarters in this magnificent game. When all the dust had settled, the Running Eagles came out on top with a 33-27 triumph over Florida Memorial University. DISCLAIMER: Life University is not affiliated with the School of Hard Knocks. Difficulty with extra points or is lady football scored differently?
It’s scored similarly but with three options for P.A.T.s – 1 point from the 5-yard line, using a pass play only.
2 points from the 10-yard line, allowing either a run or pass.
3 points from mid-field, also permitting a run or pass. So, no kicking is involved, and yes, at present they do have problems with P.A.T.s. But like I said, it’s early years yet.
