USCAA DIVISION ONE
SEMIFINAL ONE – The 3 seeds – the LYON COLLEGE SCOTS – faced the 2nd ranked BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE AT BUFFALO BOBCATS.
The Bobcats held a 41-35 Halftime lead over their opponents. After the break the Scots mounted a comeback, outscoring BSC-Buffalo 42-29 to win the game 77-70. THIRTY-FOUR points from Mark Toney led Lyon College in scoring, while his teammate Nikola SaSaroga notched a Double Double of 19 points and 13 rebounds.
SEMIFINAL TWO – In this game the top seeded NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (Shipbuilders) took on the 4 seeds – the BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE AT ALBANY BOBCATS.
At the Half the Bobcats were on top by a tight 32-31. The Builders came out of the locker room ready for action and rallied for a 69-60 triumph. Donovan Means tossed in 17 points to lead NNAS to victory. It will be Builders vs Scots for the title.
USCAA DIVISION TWO
DAY TWO: GAME ONE – This 4 seed vs 5 seed clash saw the (4) KENT STATE AT TUSCARAWAS GOLDEN EAGLES against the (5) PENN STATE AT GREATER ALLEGHENY LIONS.
PSU-Greater Allegheny had compiled a 57-47 advantage by the midpoint of this shootout. From there the Golden Eagles caught up with the Lions and then some. The final tally was KSU-Tuscarawas 99 PSUGA 91. Kyle Shockley led the winners with THIRTY-FOUR points.
DAY TWO: GAME TWO – Up next the top seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI AT CLERMONT COUGARS – played the 9th seeded VILLA MARIA COLLEGE VIKINGS.
The Cougars were out in front at Halftime 36-23. After the break, UC-Clermont managed a little more separation from the Vikings, ultimately winning the game by a score of 78-61. Leading the Cougars was Kenyon Gardner, who logged a Double Double of 26 points and 10 rebounds.
DAY TWO: GAME THREE – This was an incredible Upset as the 10th seeded PENN STATE AT WILKES-BARRE LIONS collided with the 2 seeds – the NEW HAMPSHIRE TECHNICAL INSTITUTE LYNX.
The two teams went basket for basket in the 1st Half, resulting in a score of 39-39 by the midpoint. In the 2nd Half the Lions eked out a thrilling 85-83 Upset win over the Lynx. Wilvens Fleurizard led PSU-Wilkes-Barre with his Double Double of 24 points and 17 rebounds. Teammate Jedidiah Ashton put up a Double Double of his own with 16 points and 16 rebounds.
DAY TWO: GAME FOUR – Closing out Day Two was this game between the 3 seeds – the PENN STATE AT YORK LIONS – and the 6th seeded UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI-HAMILTON HARRIERS.
At the Half the Lions were up 32-24. The Harriers came out of the locker room ready for a rally attempt, only to fall short as PSU-York triumphed by a final score of 66-61. The Lions were led by Deriq Brown, who contributed 22 points.
