USA SOUTH CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in this tournament were the MARY BALDWIN UNIVERSITY FIGHTING SQUIRRELS and the GREENSBORO COLLEGE PRIDE. By Halftime the Fighting Squirrels held a slight 30-28 edge. After the break Mary Baldwin University left their opponents further and further behind on their way to a 72-62 triumph. Luke Ogle led the Squirrels with 15 points.
CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – In this game the BARUCH COLLEGE BEARCATS clashed with the LEHMAN COLLEGE LIGHTNING for the tournament title. The Bearcats were on top 37-32 at the Half but the Lightning came out of the locker room primed for a fight. The Lehman College rally fell just short as Baruch College held on by their fingertips to win 73-71. Devin Nicholson put up 21 points to lead the Bearcats.
GREAT NORTHEAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The UNIVERSITY OF ST. JOSEPH (CT) BLUE JAYS took on the ST. JOSEPH’S COLLEGE OF MAINE MONKS. At the midpoint the Blue Jays were out in front 38-33. From there the University of St. Joseph smacked around the Monks as they won the game by a final tally of 78-59. Friedrich Feldrappe led the Blue Jays in scoring with 22 points.
AMERICAN RIVERS CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This tournament came to a head with this battle between the LORAS COLLEGE DUHAWKS and the NEBRASKA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY PRAIRIE WOLVES. The Prairie Wolves were up 44-42 come Halftime. The Duhawks went on to force Overtime with a 69-69 score to end Regulation. In the extra session Loras College prevailed 85-76. Twenty-four points from Ali Sabet led the Duhawks to victory.
COAST TO COAST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT UNIVERSITY CAPTAINS and the UNIVERSITY OF MARY WASHINGTON EAGLES fought it out in this title tilt. The Captains led their opponents by a score of 32-25 at the Half. After the break Christopher Newport University kept the Eagles at arm’s length for a 62-56 victory. Collins Hines logged 20 points to lead the Captains.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This clash for a conference crown pitted the CLAREMONT-MUDD-SCRIPPS COLLEGE STAGS against the CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY KINGSMEN. The Stags were up 32-27 by the midpoint of the game. Following that, CMSC squeezed out just a bit more separation from the Kingsmen to win 61-55. Josh Angle led the Stags with 17 points.
