GOLDEN STATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The OTTAWA UNIVERSITY (AZ) SPIRIT took on the HOPE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ROYALS for the GSAC title. By Halftime the Spirit held a 37-33 edge over the Royals, and a hard-fought 2nd Half ended with OUAZ winning the game by a final score of 71-69. Keshawn Bruner led the Spirit with 20 points as they moved on to the NAIA National Tournament. * THE SPIRIT ARE GSAC CHAMPIONS *
GREAT PLAINS ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS – First up, the top seeded UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES downed the 5 seeds – the CONCORDIA (NE) BULLDOGS – 95-77 ### In the 2nd Semifinal, the 3 seeds – the DORDT UNIVERSITY DEFENDERS – edged the MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS in an 83-82 thriller.
KANSAS COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS – In the 1st semifinal, the BETHEL COLLEGE THRESHERS took the court against the STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS and defeated them by a comfortable score of 90-73 ### And for the other spot in the KCAC Championship Game, the SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE MOUNDBUILDERS crushed the OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES 98-73.
RED RIVER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS – The LSU-SHREVEPORT PILOTS (riverboat pilots) clashed with the LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY WILDCATS. An 80-80 tie to end Regulation became a 96-92 Pilots victory ### The 2nd semifinal saw the XAVIER UNIVERSITY (LA) GOLD RUSH defeat the TEXAS A&M AT TEXARKANA EAGLES (should be the Texarks) by a score of 72-64.
RIVER STATES CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS – The storied INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS played the UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM in the 1st semifinal, defeating them in a 71-68 Instant Classic ### Then, the INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT KOKOMO COUGARS downed the POINT PARK UNIVERSITY PIONEERS by a final count of 76-66.
SOUTHERN STATES ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in the SSAC title game were the LOYOLA (LA) WOLFPACK and the FAULKNER UNIVERSITY EAGLES (should be the Fury). The Wolfpack were on top 36-30 at the Half. From there, Loyola squeezed out a bit more separation from their opponents to win the game 82-73. Jalen Galloway led Loyola with a Double-Double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. * THE WOLFPACK ARE SSAC CHAMPIONS *
WOLVERINE-HOOSIER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS – In the 1st semifinal, the MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS did battle with the LOURDES UNIVERSITY GRAY WOLVES and beat them 88-78 ### And in the 2nd semifinal, the INDIANA TECH WARRIORS (should be the Hoplites) outfought the ROCHESTER (MI) COLLEGE WARRIORS in an 85-73 result.
