ANDREWS UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS ### The TEXAS A&M AT TEXARKANA EAGLES (should be the Texarks) downed the OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY SAINTS 110-95 ### And the MAYVILLE STATE COMETS won 101-82 at the VITERBO UNIVERSITY V-HAWKS.
BREWING A BLOWOUT – The BREWTON-PARKER COLLEGE BARONS played host to the VOORHEES UNIVERSITY TIGERS. The Barons had utterly humiliated the Tigers by the Half with a 38-11 lead, and from there they coasted to a 76-42 triumph. Lance Smith logged a Double-Double of 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead Brewton-Parker College.
WORKING OVERTIME – The UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS exploded in OT for a 97-75 win over the CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TIGERS ### Meanwhile, the WEST VIRGINIA TECH GOLDEN BEARS defeated the OAKLAND CITY UNIVERSITY MIGHTY OAKS 72-66 in the extra session ### And the JOHN BROWN UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES (should be the Abolitionists) won a 78-73 OT affair at the OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE STATE AGGIES (should be Okies).
INSTANT CLASSIC – This game pitted the LOURDES UNIVERSITY GRAY WOLVES against the visiting ROCHESTER (MI) UNIVERSITY WARRIORS. The Gray Wolves seemed in charge at Halftime with a 43-29 advantage but then had to hold on against a Warriors rally to win the game 69-66. Joey Hollifield led LU with 17 points, while teammates Little Anderson notched a Double-Double of 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jackie Harris had 14 points and 14 rebounds.
ALL-NAME GAMES – The BETHEL (IN) PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots) downed the HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY FORESTERS 93-87 ## Elsewhere, the BLUE MOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY TOPPERS won 76-74 at the LIFE UNIVERSITY RUNNING EAGLES ### And the LOYOLA (LA) UNIVERSITY WOLFPACK defeated the TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES 65-61.
RE METALLICA – In this game the XAVIER UNIVERSITY (LA) GOLD RUSH took the court against the visiting JARVIS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS. A defense-dominated opening Half ended with the Gold Rush up 28-21, and after the break XULA outscored the Bulldogs 44-40 for 72-61 triumph. Jeremy Lindsey and Tracy Steele each scored 13 points to lead the Gold Rush.
ONE-POINT WONDERS – The MENLO COLLEGE OAKS prevailed over the WESTMONT COLEGE WARRIORS (should be the Guardians) 74-73 ### The HOLY CROSS COLLEGE SAINTS won 93-92 at the ST. XAVIER UNIVERSITY COUGARS ### And the CENTRAL INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY RAMS beat the MONTREAT COLLEGE CAVALIERS 89-88.
HASKELL FOR THE WIN – The HASKELL INDIAN NATIONS UNIVERSITY INDIANS traveled to face the BACONE COLLEGE WARRIORS. The Indians parlayed a 42-34 lead at the break into a comfortable 92-68 victory when all was said and done. Haskell Indian Nations University was led by Tate Bear with his Double-Double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.
ROAD WARRIORS – The OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS won 88-82 at the WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY PIONEERS (should be Flying W’s) ### Meanwhile, the UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM defeated their hosts the ST. MARY OF THE WOODS COLLEGE POMEROYS 76-58 ### And the UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES won 93-90 at the DORDT UNIVERSITY DEFENDERS.
