DOWN GOES NUMBER THREE – In NCAA Division 3 the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AT PLATTEVILLE PIONEERS welcomed the number 3 team in the land – the UW-WHITEWATER WARHAWKS. The Pioneers put the Warhawks on Upset Alert at Halftime with a 14-10 lead, then kept them at arm’s length the rest of the way for a 17-13 victory.
KNOCKING OFF NUMBER SEVEN – In the NAIA the UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA-WESTERN BULLDOGS faced the visiting number 7 COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES. A 20-14 Bulldogs edge at the Half became 34-28 to end the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th UM-Western won out 40-35.
SPIRIT OF EIGHTY-ONE – Staying in the NAIA for the moment, the (25) ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM visited the TEXAS COLLEGE STEERS. The Firestorm seized a quick 21-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back from there. In the end ACU had utterly eviscerated the Steers to the tune of EIGHTY-ONE to NINETEEN.
ONE AND TWO ROLL – In NCAA Division 2 the (1) GRAND VALLEY STATE LAKERS crushed their guests the NORTHERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY WILDCATS by a score of 56-3. And the (2) ANGELO STATE RAMS took down the visiting (18) TEXAS A&M AT KINGSVILLE JAVELINAS 34-7.
MARATHON GAME OF THE WEEK – This D3 matchup pitted the BLUFFTON UNIVERSITY BEAVERS against their hosts the MANCHESTERN UNIVERSITY SPARTANS. A 17-17 Halftime tie became a 30-30 deadlock to end Regulation. It took FIVE OVERTIMES before the Beavers would win 46-44 on Safety.

OTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS PATRIOTS took down the home standing (11) GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS 24-23 ### In Overtime the LANGSTON UNIVERSITY LIONS beat the (13) OTTAWA (AZ) UNIVERSITY SPIRIT ### And the LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY WILDCATS toppled the (20) TEXAS WESLEYAN RAMS 33-9.
HAPPY HOMECOMING – The POINT UNIVERSITY SKYHAWKS welcomed their Homecoming opponents the UNION COLLEGE BULLDOGS. The Bulldogs led 10-6 at the midpoint but the Skyhawks tied things up at 13-13 in the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Point University won 16-13.
WHY DON’T WE DO IT ON THE ROAD? – The EVANGEL UNIVERSITY VALOR visited the BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS and defeated them 17-12 ### Elsewhere, the DORDT UNIVERSITY DEFENDERS won 29-28 at the CONCORDIA (NE) BULLDOGS ### And the OTTAWA (KS) BRAVES whupped the FRIENDS UNIVERSITY FALCONS 28-13.
NCCAA
A POLARIZING VICTORY – The CROWN COLLEGE POLARS traveled to face the FINLANDIA UNIVERSITY LIONS. The Lions were up 7-6 in the 1st Quarter but the Polars went up 20-7 by the break. From there Crown College coasted to a 40-14 win.
THE LIONS ROAR – The SOUTHWESTERN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD UNIVERSITY LIONS took it on the road against the LYON COLLEGE SCOTS in this game. The Lions led 14-0 in the opening Quarter and 17-0 at Halftime. After the break SAGU outscored the Scots 14-6 for a 31-6 triumph.
KNIGHT GAME – The KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS took the field against the visiting SAINT ANDREWS UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS. After a scoreless opening Quarter KCU led 21-14 come Halftime. From there the home team dominated enroute to a 51-28 victory.

OTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The WINONA STATE WARRIORS brought down the (11) UNIVERSITY OF SIOUX FALLS COUGARS in a 20-17 thriller ### Meanwhile the MINNESOTA STATE MAVERICKS won 35-14 at the (14) AUGUSTANA (SD) VIKINGS ### And the (21) NEWBERRY COLLEGE WOLVES won 38-24 at the (19) LENOIR-RHYNE UNIVERSITY BEARS.
BETHANY BATTLE – The SOUTHERN NAZARENE UNIVERSITY CRIMSON STORM played host to the NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE RANGERS. A 7-7 1st Quarter tie turned into a 14-7 Rangers advantage at the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended in a 21-21 tie before the Crimson Storm won 27-21 in the 4th.
UNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY MARAUDERS survived a 17-14 visit from the SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY RED RAIDERS. And the WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY BOBCATS won a 31-30 nail-biter at the ALDERSON-BROADDUS UNIVERSITY BATTLERS.
NCAA DIVISION THREE
WORKIN’ OVERTIME – The CONCORDIA (Moorhead) COBBERS won 20-13 in an extra session against the visiting CARLETON COLLEGE KNIGHTS ### Elsewhere, the DEAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS won a 36-35 OT game against their hosts the ALFRED STATE PIONEERS ### And the HAMPDEN-SYDNEY TIGERS downed the home standing WASHIGTON & LEE UNIVERSITY GENERALS 44-43.
DOUBLING UP ON THE COMPETITION – The ILLINOIS COLLEGE BLUEBOYS traveled to take on the KNOX COLLEGE PRAIRIE FIRE. The Blueboys were on top 17-3 at the break and held off the Prairie Fire the rest of the way to win the game 20-10.
ROAD WARRIORS – The MARITIME COLLEGE PRIVATEERS snuck past the GALLAUDET UNIVERSITY BISON 26-24 on the road ### The CENTRE COLLEGE COLONELS won 45-42 at the HENDRIX UNIVERSITY WARRIORS ### And the AUSTIN COLLEGE KANGAROOS defeated the EAST TEXAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY TIGERS 13-10.
NJCAA
ONE AND TWO ROLL – The top-ranked HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS were on the road against the GARDEN CITY COLLEGE BRONCBUSTERS and trounced them 56-7. And the number 2 IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS defeated the visiting 10th ranked BUTLER (KS) GRIZZLIES 33-14.
INSTANT CLASSIC – The TYLER COLLEGE APACHES took the field against their guests the CISCO COLLEGE WRANGLERS. The Apaches were on top 21-10 come Halftime but the Wranglers shut them out the rest of the way. In the 4th Quarter Cisco College logged 7 more points but Tyler won out 21-17.
SHUTOUTS – The LOUISBURG COLLEGE HURRICANES welcomed the RAMAH ACADEMY RAMS and embarrassed them to the tune of 56-0. Meanwhile, the COFFEYVILLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS won a 59-0 laugher against the visiting GEORGIA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE KNIGHTS.
