WEST VIRGINIA EPIC – The FROSTBURG STATE BOBCATS welcomed the FAIRMONT STATE FALCONS in this game last night. A 7-7 1st Quarter tie became a 13-7 Bobcats lead come Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with Frostburg State up 16-7 and the Falcons pulling to within 16-14 in the 4th.
UNDEFEATED – The number 7 team in the country – the DELTA STATE STATESMEN – improved to 8-0 on their visit to the SHORTER UNIVERSITY HAWKS. The Statesmen seized a 21-0 advantage in the opening Quarter and never looked back from there enroute to a 45-10 smackdown win.

TIGER ON TIGER VIOLENCE – The NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS traveled to face the COAHOMA COLLEGE TIGERS. By the Half, Northeast Mississippi was on top 10-6. After the break Coahoma College outscored NMC 8-7, but Northeast Miss went home with a 17-14 victory.
HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF – The COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK were on the road against the EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE WARRIORS. The Wolfpack held a 6-3 edge in the 1st Quarter and expanded that to 20-3 by the Half. The Warriors attempted a rally but Copiah-Lincoln won 26-14.

ONE OVERTIME WASN’T ENOUGH – In this game the CONTRA COSTA COLLEGE COMETS visited the REEDLEY COLLEGE TIGERS. The Comets led 14-7 but the Tigers forced Overtime with a 14-14 tie to end Regulation. The 1st OT was scoreless, followed by a 22-14 Contra Costa College triumph in the 2nd.
ONE-POINT WONDER – The SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS faced the home standing SADDLEBACK COLLEGE BOBCATS. This was a tale of 2 Halves as the Bobcats held a comfortable 20-0 lead at the Half before the Olympians mounted an epic comeback from there for a 21-20 win.
HAPPY HOME STANDS – The GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS clobbered the visiting SOUTHWESTERN (CA) COLLEGE JAGUARS 41-3 ### Meanwhile, the MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES defeated the EL CAMINO COLLEGE WARRIORS 24-7 ### And the FOOTHILL COLLEGE OWLS survived a 12-7 visit from the MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE LOBOS.
PUTTING IN OVERTIME – The COLLEGE OF THE DESERT ROADRUNNERS welcomed the PASADENA CITY COLLEGE LANCERS. The Lancers were on top 3-0 in the 1st Quarter and 10-9 by Halftime. The Roadrunners went on top 19-17 in the 3rd Quarter but the 4th ended in a 27-27 deadlock. In the extra session the College of the Desert prevailed 34-27.
BLOWOUT SHUTOUT – This game pitted the SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE VAQUEROS against their guests the PIERCE COLLEGE BRAHMA BULLS. The Vaqueros dominated on both sides of the ball, parlaying a quick 21-0 lead in the opening Quarter into a SIXTY-THREE to NOTHING triumph.
