FOUR QUARTERS WEREN’T ENOUGH – This bizarre game pitted the WEST LIBERTY UNIVERSITY HILLTOPPERS against the home standing FAIRMONT STATE FALCONS. Neither team scored in the entire 1st Half, then the Hilltoppers went on top 21-0 in the 3rd Quarter. The Falcons proceeded to score 21 unanswered points in the 4th to force Overtime. In the Extra Session, Fairmont State notched a Field Goal followed by a Touchdown for West Liberty U in a 27-24 win.
DOUBLING UP ON THE COMPETITION – The ASSUMPTION UNIVERSITY GREYHOUNDS hosted the FRANKLIN PIERCE UNIVERSITY RAVENS. The Greyhounds kept the Ravens off the scoreboard until the 4th Quarter while putting up 7 points in all 4 stanzas. The final tally was Assumption U. 28 Franklin Pierce U. 14.
HOME OF THE BRAVES – The UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT PEMBROKE BRAVES took the field against the visiting WEST VIRGINIA STATE YELLOW JACKETS last night. By Halftime the Braves had compiled a 31-21 advantage. From there, UNC-Pembroke outscored the Yellow Jackets 14-3 for a 45-24 triumph.

SHUTOUT IN OSCALOOSA – The only NAIA game last night found the (2) GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS (should be the Zebras) on the road in Oskaloosa, IA against the WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY STATESMEN. Grand View University seized a quick 17-0 1st Quarter lead and never looked back. In the end the Vikings had eviscerated the Statesmen FIFTY-TWO to NOTHING.

DOWN GOES NUMBER SEVEN – The NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS welcomed the number 7 team in the nation – the EAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE LIONS. The Tigers converted a 14-7 opening Quarter lead into a 21-7 advantage by the Half. After the break NMC downed the Lions by a final score of 31-21.
HOME STAND – The PEARL RIVER COLLEGE WILDCATS took the field against the visiting COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK. The Wildcats led 3-0 in the 1st Quarter and 17-0 at the midpoint. The Wolfpack cut that to a 24-14 game in the 3rd and that held up as the final tally as well.

CLEATS OF BAKERSFIELD – The BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES traveled to face the (19) COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS COUGARS. A 7-7 Halftime tie became a 10-7 Renegades edge to end the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th, Bakersfield College won out 17-7.
ROAD RAGE – Two blowouts last night as the MOORPARK COLLEGE RAIDERS visited the SANTA MONICA COLLEGE CORSAIRS and crushed them 49-13. Meanwhile, the (6) FULLERTON COLLEGE HORNETS won easily 58-3 at the SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY COLLEGE WOLVERINES.
SHOOTOUT – The COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS CORSAIRS went up against the home standing LOS MEDANOS COLLEGE MUSTANGS in this game. The score was knotted up at 14-14 in the 1st Quarter but the Corsairs were up 26-21 at the Half. From there, the College of the Redwoods outscored the Mustangs 22-20 for a 48-41 victory.
