ONE-POINT WONDERS – The UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT PEMBROKE BRAVES welcomed the FROSTBURG STATE BOBCATS and snuck past them by a score of 10-9 ### And the TUSCULUM COLLEGE PIONEERS won 14-13 at the BARTON COLLEGE BULLDOGS.
BLOWOUT – In this game the JOHNSON C. SMITH UNIVERSITY GOLDEN BULLS took the field against the ELIZABETH CITY STATE VIKINGS. The 1st Quarter ended in a 14-14 tie, but from there the Golden Bulls took control. By Halftime Johnson C. Smith University was up 35-14 on their way to a 49-14 triumph.
UNDER THE RADAR DEFENSIVE CLASSICS – The LIMESTONE COLLEGE SAINTS were on the road against the MARS HILL UNIVERSITY LIONS and defeated them 17-14 ### And the FAYETTEVILLE STATE BRONCOS survived a 13-10 visit from the CHOWAN UNIVERSITY HAWKS.

TUSSLE IN THE TOP EIGHT – The number 4 team in the nation – the NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE RANGERS – took it on the road against the 8th ranked EAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE LIONS. After a scoreless 1st Quarter the Rangers led 13-7 at the Half. After the break NMC got more and more separation from the Lions for a 38-21 victory.
ROAD WARRIORS – The (5) JONES COLLEGE BOBCATS traveled to face the HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES and defeated them in a 31-24 Instant Classic ### And the SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE BEARS won 24-20 at the EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE WARRIORS.
FIGHTING LIKE CATS AND DOGS – This game pitted the PEARL RIVER COLLEGE WILDCATS against the visiting MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST COLLEGE BULLDOGS. The Wildcats were on top 10-0 in the opening Quarter but the Bulldogs cut that to a 10-7 edge by Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with Pearl River College up 17-14 enroute to a 24-14 triumph.
BLOWOUTS – The ITAWAMBA COLLEGE INDIANS clobbered their hosts the MISSISSIPPI DELTA COLLEGE TROJANS to the tune of 55-21 ### And the COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK held serve against the visiting COAHOMA COLLEGE TIGERS 35-10.
NAIL-BITER – The HOLMES COLLEGE BULLDOGS took the field against the NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS. A 7-7 1st Quarter tie became a 24-24 deadlock by the midpoint of the game. From there the Bulldogs were on top 27-24 in the 3rd Quarter before winning it in the 4th 34-31.

PUTTING IN OVERTIME – The (13) PALOMAR COLLEGE COMETS won a 31-24 Overtime affair against their guests the (17) COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS COUGARS ### And the (24) EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE HUSKIES used an extra session to defeat the SADDLEBACK COLLEGE BOBCATS by a score of 27-20.
EIGHTY-SIX – In this game the SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE VAQUEROS welcomed the LOS ANGELES COLLEGE SOUTHWEST COUGARS and had their way with them. The Vaqueros parlayed a 23-0 1st Quarter lead into a 51-0 Halftime advantage and finally an EIGHTY-SIX to NOTHING massacre.
ALL-NAME GAMES – The ANTELOPE VALLEY COLLEGE MARAUDERS managed a 27-14 victory over the visiting PASADENA CITY COLLEGE LANCERS ### And the COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS CORSAIRS defeated their guests the MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE LOBOS 34-28.
SHOOTOUT – Points flew like shrapnel in this game between the COLLEGE OF THE DESERT ROADRUNNERS and the home standing GLENDALE COLLEGE VAQUEROS. A 14-14 1st Quarter tie turned into a 28-21 Halftime lead for the Roadrunners. A Vaqueros rally in the 2nd Half fell just short as the College of the Desert won 54-50.
WHY DON’T WE DO IT ON THE ROAD? – The (9) FULLERTON COLLEGE HORNETS visited the (18) ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE BULLDOGS and defeated them 28-20 ### And the (3) MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES prevailed 28-10 in a road trip to face the BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES.
