WHEN RANKED TEAMS CLASH – Last night the number 4 team in the nation – the NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE RANGERS – took it on the road against the 14th ranked PEARL RIVER COLLEGE WILDCATS. The Wildcats led 7-0 in the 1st Quarter and 14-7 by Halftime, but the Rangers shut them out from there. The 3rd Quarter ended in a 14-14 tie and the final tally was NMC 21 PRC 14.
KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES – The (6) JONES COLLEGE BOBCATS visited the COPIAH-LINCOLN COLLEGE WOLFPACK. A 10-0 Bobcats advantage at the Half became a 10-10 deadlock in the 3rd Quarter. An action-packed 4th saw Jones College prevail by a score of 23-17.
WORKING OVERTIME – In this game the ITAWAMBA COLLEGE INDIANS played host to the NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE TIGERS. It was a tale of two Halves as the Tigers were on top 21-0 at the break, but the Indians came back to force Overtime with a 21-21 tie to end Regulation. In the extra session a missed PAT was the difference in a 28-27 win for Itawamba College.
HINDS-SIGHT – The HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES visited the EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE WARRIORS. The Eagles led 7-0 to end the opening Quarter before the Warriors knotted things up at 7-7 by Halftime. In the 3rd Quarter Hinds College went up 21-14, then held on against an ECC rally in the 4th for a 28-23 victory.
ROAD RAGE – The EAST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE LIONS won handily, 45-9, at the HOLMES COLLEGE BULLDOGS ### And the COAHOMA COLLEGE TIGERS smacked around their hosts the MISSISSIPPI DELTA COLLEGE TROJANS to the tune of 47-10.

TIGER ON TIGER VIOLENCE – This game pitted the BENEDICT COLLEGE TIGERS against the visiting SAVANNAH STATE TIGERS. The defenses dominated in the 1st Half, with neither team able to muster points. Benedict College went out in front 10-0 to end the 3rd Quarter, then won the game 24-6 in the 4th.

STRAIGHT OUT OF COMPTON – The COMPTON COLLEGE TARTARS traveled to face the LOS ANGELES SOUTHWEST COLLEGE COUGARS. The Tartars managed to get off the schneid for their 2022 campaign as they defeated the Cougars by a final tally of 20-10.
HAPPY HOME STANDS – The (9) SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS were in charge all the way against the visiting (10) VENTURA COLLEGE PIRATES in a 35-20 victory ### And the (5) GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS won 22-3 against their guests the (18) PALOMAR COLLEGE COMETS.
DEFENSIVE EPIC – In this game the (4) MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES took the field against the traveling (23) SADDLEBACK COLLEGE BOBCATS. A scoreless opening Quarter was followed by a 3-0 Mounties edge at Halftime. Mount San Antonio College outscored their opponents 10-6 from there for a 13-6 victory.
ROAD WARRIORS – The SHASTA COLLEGE KNIGHTS defeated the SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE MUSTANGS 37-30 ### Meanwhile, the PASADENA CITY COLLEGE LANCERS won 27-20 at the SANTA MONICA COLLEGE CORSAIRS ### And the GLENDALE COLLEGE GAUCHOS downed the VICTOR VALLEY COLLEGE RAMS 28-10.
UNDER THE RADAR CLASSIC – The SAN JOSE CITY COLLEGE JAGUARS clashed with the home standing COLLEGE OF THE REDWOODS GIANTS. The Jaguars parlayed a 3-0 1st Quarter edge into a 23-13 advantage by the Half. A 30-13 3rd Quarter lead for SJCC was followed by a failed Giants rally as the Jags won out 30-27.
BLOWOUTS – The SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE VAQUEROS clobbered their hosts the ORANGE COAST COLLEGE PIRATES by a count of 45-7 ### Elsewhere, the DE ANZA COLLEGE MOUNTAIN LIONS mauled the visiting GAVILAN COLLEGE RAMS 56-21 ### And the COLLEGE OF THE DESERT ROADRUNNERS logged a 27-10 mini-blowout at the LOS ANGELES VALLEY COLLEGE MONARCHS.
