NJCAA DIVISION THREE
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – In a battle of Cinderellas, the 6 seeds – the HERKIMER COLLEGE GENERALS – took on the 5th seeded EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS.
By the 3rd Inning the Generals were on top 3-0 but the Harvesters made it a 3-2 game in the 4th Inning before tying things up 3-3 in the 5th. From there Herkimer College clamped down defensively as their bats went white-hot.
The Generals held Eastfield College scoreless the rest of the way while adding 6 more runs of their own, ultimately winning the game 9-3. Greg Farone was the winning Pitcher as Herkimer College seized their first-ever baseball crown. * THE GENERALS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NJCAA DIVISION THREE BASEBALL *
