FIRST SEMIFINAL – The GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS were on the road against the defending National Champions of NAIA football – the LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS. A 14-7 Vikings lead in the 1st Quarter became a 21-20 Blue Raiders edge by Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with Lindsey Wilson College on top 28-26 but the 4th saw Grand View U win the game 34-28.
SECOND SEMIFINAL – In this game the MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS welcomed the NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS. The Mustangs were chasing the Red Raiders 13-7 in the opening Quarter and 16-14 at the Half. Morningside College moved out in front 21-19 in the 3rd Quarter, then won out 28-19.

FIRST QUARTERFINAL – The COLORADO SCHOOL OF MINES OREDIGGERS took on the visiting ANGELO STATE RAMS. This was a tale of two Halves, with the Orediggers holding a comfortable 20-3 advantage at the midpoint only to have to hold on tight in the 2nd Half against a Rams rally. Colorado School of Mines won a 34-28 thriller.
SECOND QUARTERFINAL – The VALDOSTA STATE BLAZERS faced the BOWIE STATE BULLDOGS in this game. The Blazers dominated their opponents on both sides of the ball, outclassing them in every way. Valdosta State seized a quick 14-0 1st Quarter lead and parlayed that into a 24-10 score by Halftime. From there the Blazers coasted to a 41-17 triumph.
THIRD QUARTERFINAL – The SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY RAMS visited the KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY GOLDEN BEARS. The Rams led 7-0, 21-7 and 21-14 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters respectively before going on to win the game in an explosive 4th by a tight final score of 30-28.
FOURTH QUARTERFINAL – This game pitted the FERRIS STATE BULLDOGS against the storied NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE BEARCATS. A 27-13 advantage for the Bulldogs at the Half wasn’t any more competitive the rest of the way. Ferris State moved on to the Semifinals with a 41-20 thrashing of the Bearcats.
NCAA DIVISION THREE
QUARTERFINAL ONE – The UNIVERSITY OF MOUNT UNION PURPLE RAIDERS did battle with the MUHLENBERG COLLEGE MULES. A 7-6 1st Quarter edge for the Mules was expanded to a 14-9 lead at the midpoint. The Purple Raiders fought back to force Overtime with a 29-29 tie, then won the game 35-29 in the extra session.
QUARTERFINAL TWO – The defending National Champions – the NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE CARDINALS – hosted the RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE ENGINEERS. This was a very lopsided game as the Cardinals led 28-6 at Halftime before going on to a 55-6 annihilation of the Engineers.
QUARTERFINAL THREE – The UNIVERSITY OF MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR CRUSADERS went up against the LINFIELD COLLEGE WILDCATS. By Halftime the Crusaders had compiled a 28-10 advantage. After the break UMHB got even more separation from the Wildcats for a 49-24 beatdown victory.
QUARTERFINAL FOUR – The UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-WHITEWATER WARHAWKS played the CENTRAL COLLEGE DUTCH in this game. The Dutch led 14-13 to end the opening Quarter before the Warhawks went up 27-21 at the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended with UWW leading 34-21 and the 4th in a 51-21 Warhawks win.
NJCAA DIVISION ONE
FIRST SEMIFINAL – The number 1 team in the nation – the IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS – welcomed the 4th ranked SNOW COLLEGE BADGERS. In a tale of two Halves the Reivers were on top 20-2 at the break only to see the Badgers force Overtime with a 23-23 tie to end regulation. In the extra session a missed PAT was the difference, as Iowa Western College won 30-29.
SECOND SEMIFINAL -The 2nd ranked NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE BRONCOS (should be the Cavalry) played host to the number 3 NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE RANGERS. The 1st Quarter ended with the Rangers up 9-7 but by Halftime NMMI led 28-16. Northwest Mississippi cut that to a 28-23 score in the 3rd Quarter but the 4th saw the Institute win out 49-30.
NJCAA DIVISION THREE
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The country’s number 1 COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS played the 2nd ranked NASSAU COLLEGE LIONS for the NJCAA D3 crown. The Chaparrals led 7-0 in the 1st Quarter and 14-0 at the midpoint. In the 3rd Quarter the College of DuPage was up 28-14 before withstanding a Lions comeback attempt in the 4th for a 34-29 win. * THE CHAPARRALS ARE THE 2021 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS *
NCAA DIVISION TWO BOWL GAMES
LIVE UNITED BOWL – The SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE SAVAGE STORM took on the EMPORIA STATE HORNETS in this Bowl Game. The Hornets led 7-0 in the 1st Quarter and 21-14 at Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Savage Storm in front 31-27 before winning this Instant Classic in the 4th by a score of 37-34.
HERITAGE BOWL – The OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY BISON played the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT THE PERMIAN BASIN FALCONS. The Falcons had a 7-3 1st Quarter edge but the Bison went up 17-7 by the Half. A 3rd Quarter 24-7 lead for OBU turned into a furious 4th Quarter rally for UTPB. The Bison held on for a 24-21 victory.
AMERICA’S CROSSROADS BOWL – In this Bowl Game the TRUMAN STATE BULLDOGS clashed with the HILLSDALE COLLEGE CHARGERS. The defenses dominated the opening Half, with the Bulldogs holding a mere 6-3 edge by Halftime. That became a 20-10 Truman State lead over the Chargers to end the 3rd Quarter and ultimately a 34-17 Bulldogs win.
NJCAA BOWL GAMES
HEART OF TEXAS BOWL – The TYLER COLLEGE APACHES took the field against the COFFEYVILLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS. By the midpoint the Red Ravens were on top 7-6 but the Apaches seized a 15-7 lead in the 3rd Quarter. The 4th was all Tyler College as they defeated Coffeyville 28-7.
SALT CITY BOWL – The storied HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS met in battle with the HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES. A 1st Quarter shootout ended with the Blue Dragons leading 28-21 and that became a 38-28 advantage at Halftime. Hutchinson College owned the 2nd Half, hammering the Eagles 66-34.
SCOOTERS COFFEE BOWL – The GARDEN CITY COLLEGE BRONCBUSTERS played the NAVARRO COLLEGE BULLDOGS in this Bowl Game. The Broncbusters led 16-6, 30-20 and 50-28 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters respectively before winning the game by a final count of 53-34.
GRAPHIC EDGE BOWL – This game pitted the IOWA CENTRAL COLLEGE TRITONS against the MONROE COLLEGE MUSTANGS. A 7-7 Halftime tie became a 28-14 Tritons lead to end the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Iowa Central had to hold on against a Mustangs rally for a 35-27 triumph.
