ONE TEAM WAS PLAYING BASKETBALL – “One-sided” doesn’t even BEGIN to describe the game between the SAINT ANDREWS UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS and the visiting POINT UNIVERSITY SKYHAWKS. ARKANSAS ARMAGEDDON – This was a clash between the OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE STATE AGGIES (should be the Okies) and their hosts – the LYON COLLEGE SCOTS, sometimes called the Notre Dame for people of Scottish descent. Neither team scored in the 1st Quarter but by the break the Scots were up 10-7. That turned into a 17-13 advantage to end the 3rd Quarter before OPSU roared from behind to win the game 27-24.
SHUTOUT – In an example of Defensive Perfection on the gridiron the (18) BENEDICTINE COLLEGE RAVENS took the field against the visiting HASTINGS COLLEGE BRONCOS.
