CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last teams standing in this tournament were the top seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF ANTELOPE VALLEY PIONEERS – and the 2nd seeded UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT MERCED GOLDEN BOBCATS. The Pioneers (should be the Antelopes) had doubled-up on the Golden Bobcats by Halftime, leading them 46-23. UAV stayed on top the rest of the way for an 84-66 victory led by Ronnie Rousseau III’s 25 points. * THE PIONEERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT *
CASCADE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This title tilt pitted the top-seeded COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES against the 3 seeds – the OREGON TECH HUSTLIN’ OWLS. The Coyotes were out in front 44-36 at the Half, then held on against the never-say-die Hustlin’ Owls to win it 82-77. Talon Pinckney led the way for the College of Idaho with 23 points. * THE COYOTES ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE CASCADE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT *
RIVER STATES CONFERENCE: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The unique tournament format used by the RSC left a pair of 2 seeds fighting for the conference crown: the (2East) INDIANA UNIVERSITY EAST RED WOLVES and the (2West) INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT KOKOMO COUGARS (should be the Pazuzus). A 32-25 Halftime lead for the Red Wolves ultimately turned into a 70-65 triumph. Garrett Silcott tossed in 21 points to lead IU-East. * THE RED WOLVES ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE RIVER STATES CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT *
WOVERINE-HOOSIER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This game pitted the 2 seeds – the MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS – against the 5th seeded CORNERSTONE UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES. The Crusaders had managed a 41-38 edge at the break then got a little more separation in the 2nd Half for a 79-71 victory. Henry Speight’s Double-Double of 19 points and 12 rebounds led Madonna U. * THE CRUSADERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE WHAC TOURNAMENT *

APPALACHIAN DISTRICT: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The COLUMBIA STATE CHARGERS did battle with the JACKSON STATE GREEN JAYS in this game. The Green Jays seemed on their way to a win with a 44-26 advantage at the midpoint. The Chargers rallied from there, however, forcing Overtime with a 67-67 tie and winning it 81-73 in the extra session. Nineteen points from Jayden Lockett led Columbia State. * THE CHARGERS ARE CHAMPIONS OF THE APPALACHIAN DISTRICT TOURNAMENT *
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT: FIRST QUARTERFINAL – The WESTERN TEXAS COLLEGE WESTERNERS took the court against the RANGER COLLEGE RANGERS. The Westerners were chasing the favored Rangers 32-25 at Halftime but roared back after the break for an impressive 80-58 smackdown win. Darius Mickens notched 19 points to lead Western Texas College.
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT: SECOND QUARTERFINAL – In this game the NEW MEXICO COLLEGE THUNDERBIRDS clashed with the MCLENNAN COLLEGE HIGHLANDERS. Another Upset was in the air as the Thunderbirds led the Highlanders at the Half by a score of 31-28. From there New Mexico College eked out a bit more separation to win by a final tally of 66-62. Keaton Hervey led the Thunderbirds with a Double-Double of 22 points and 10 rebounds.
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT: THIRD AND FOURTH QUARTERFINALS – The favorites won in these two games: The SOUTH PLAINS COLLEGE TEXANS defeated the COLLIN COLLEGE COUGARS in a 72-56 affair ### And the CLARENDON COLLEGE BULLDOGS hammered the TEMPLE COLLEGE LEOPARDS by a Century Club-level score of 111-74.
