Arizona Christian University Firestorm BIGNUMBER SEVEN TAKES A FALL – The 23rd ranked ARIZONA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY FIRESTORM took it on the road against the number 7 team in the nation – THE MASTER’S UNIVERSITY MUSTANGS. The Firestorm made the Mustangs faithful nervous with a 54-47 Halftime lead, then consummated the Upset, winning the game 93-84. Tim Soares led ACU with a Double-Double of 23 points and 12 rebounds.

LCSC Logo - Primary Full… AND NUMBER EIGHT COMES TUMBLING AFTER – The number 12 LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS visited the 8th ranked PROVIDENCE (MT) ARGONAUTS yesterday. The Warriors (should be the Explorers) laid down the law in the 1st Half, leading 53-25 by the break. From there Lewis-Clark State authored a 96-65 beatdown led by 25 points from Trystan Bradley. Jake Albright logged a Double-Double of 13 points and 12 rebounds.

USAO Drover newOTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS brought down the (10) JOHN BROWN UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES (should be the Abolitionists) in OT 90-84   ###   Meanwhile the WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY WARRIORS beat the (18) HOPE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ROYALS 96-86   ###   And the THOMAS MORE COLLEGE SAINTS won 69-60 at the (25) SHAWNEE STATE BEARS. 

Talladega College Tornadoes NEWCENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 points or more in Regulation: The (23) TALLADEGA COLLEGE TORNADOES crushed the SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY AT NEW ORLEANS KNIGHTS 102-46   ###   The (5) LSU-SHREVEPORT PILOTS hammered the TEXAS COLLEGE STEERS 110-70   ###   The (3) WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY STATESMEN won 101-74 at the EVANGEL UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS   ###   And the (11) LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS routed the JARVIS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS 106-82.

XAVIERLASTRIKING GOLD – The XAVIER UNIVERSITY (LA) GOLD RUSH welcomed their Gulf Coast Athletic Conference rivals the RUST COLLEGE BEARCATS on Saturday. The Gold Rush were chasing the Bearcats 42-32 at Halftime, but then came roaring back for an 80-59 victory. Ed Carter tossed in 22 points to lead Xavier University of Louisiana.

Briar Cliff University Chargers logoKNOCKING OFF NUMBER ONE – The BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY CHARGERS played host to the number 1 team in the country – the undefeated MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS. The Chargers put the Mustangs on Upset Alert by the Half with their 49-42 advantage, then closed the deal with a 94-83 triumph. Jackson Lamb led Briar Cliff U with his Double-Double of 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Marian University KnightsNUMBERS TWO AND SIX FALL AS WELL – The (8) MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS defeated the visiting (2) INDIANA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY WILDCATS in Overtime by a score of 89-87    ###    And the home-standing SPRING ARBOR UNIVERSITY COUGARS downed the (6) MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE UNIVERSITY COUGARS 75-60.

Huntington College Foresters logoOTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The HUNTINGTON (IN) UNIVERSITY FORESTERS toppled the (18) GRACE COLLEGE LANCERS in a 74-69 thriller   ###   Meanwhile the SOUTHWESTERN COLLEGE MOUNDBUILDERS won 66-62 at the (16) OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN EAGLES   ###   And the WEST VIRGINIA TECH GOLDEN BEARS brought down the (12) INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT KOKOMO COUGARS 77-71. 

Dordt College LARGECENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 points or more in Regulation: The DORDT COLLEGE DEFENDERS defeated their hosts the MIDLAND UNIVERSITY WARRIORS (should be the Lutherans) by a count of 100-79   ###   The traveling DICKINSON STATE BLUE HAWKS trounced the PRESENTATION COLLEGE SAINTS (should be the Angels) 104-61   ###   And the INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT SOUTH BEND TITANS squashed the TRINITY INTERNATIONAL TROJANS 112-59. 

TRINITY CHRISTIAN TROLLWORKIN’ OVERTIME – The TRINITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TROLLS took the court against the visiting INDIANA UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST RED HAWKS yesterday. The Trolls were on top 46-40 at Halftime but the Red Hawks forced Overtime with an 81-81 tie to end Regulation. In the extra session Trinity Christian College won it 93-88 led by James Pennington’s THIRTY-FOUR points.
