Texas Wesleyan RamsDOWN GOES NUMBER NINE – The 22nd ranked TEXAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY RAMS welcomed the number 9 team in the nation – the WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY PIONEERS (Should be the Flying Ws). The key words were “Upset Massacre” as the Rams led the Pioneers 40-22 at Halftime, then obliterated them by a final tally of NINETY-SEVEN to FIFTY! Peyton Sallee led Texas Wesleyan with 26 points.

Lyon College ScotsOTHER UPSETS IN THE RANKINGS – The LYON COLLEGE SCOTS, often called the team of all Americans of Scottish descent, toppled the visiting 18th ranked CENTRAL BAPTIST COLLEGE MUSTANGS in a 65-61 Instant Classic   ###   And the LIFE UNIVERSITY (GA) RUNNING EAGLES notched a 72-57 Road Upset of the number 19 LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS.

EUTECTICSCOMMUNITY NIGHT CHAOS – The SAINT LOUIS COLLEGE OF PHARMACY EUTECTICS took it on the road against the HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE UNIVERSITY TROJANS on their Community Night event. The Eutectics were chasing the Trojans 34-26 at the Half before outscoring their hosts 50-33 from there for a 76-67 triumph. Jordan Anderson led the victors with 19 points. 

Lewis Clark State Warriors BESTCENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation: The (13) LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS made prison brides of their guests the NORTHWEST INDIAN COLLEGE EAGLES by a score of ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN to FORTY-SEVEN   ###   And the MONTANA TECH OREDIGGERS eviscerated the visiting CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY OF EDMONTON THUNDER 115-50.  

Oklahoma City University Stars NEWWORKIN’ OVERTIME – The home-standing OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS took the court against the CENTRAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE OF KANSAS TIGERS yesterday. The Stars were on top 34-29 at the break only to see the Tigers knot things up at 70-70 to end Regulation. In Overtime OCU emerged with an 83-79 triumph. Trae Bryant, Rashaun Coleman and Anthony Davis each tossed in 16 points for the Stars.  

NAIA DIVISION TWO

St Thomas (Fl) Bobcats logoKNOCKING OFF NUMBER ELEVEN – The SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY BOBCATS (Should be the Tomcats) found themselves on the road against the 11th ranked AVE MARIA UNIVERSITY GYRENES. The Bobcats put the Gyrenes on Upset Alert by Halftime with a 37-30 advantage then finalized the deal with an 80-70 victory. Justin Brown led Saint Thomas U with his 26 points.

Northwestern (IA) Red Raiders logoOT ON THE ROAD – The (19) NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS traveled to face the DOANE COLLEGE TIGERS and defeated them 97-95 in Double Overtime    ###    And the (20) BETHEL (KS) THRESHERS won in Overtime at the AVILA UNIVERSITY EAGLES (Formerly the Avalanche). This affair was a 79-78 game for the ages.

Saint Mary Spires NEWCENTURY CLUB – The UNIVERSITY OF SAINT MARY SPIRES visited the DALLAS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE CRUSADERS and hammered them 113-62   ###   Meanwhile the (10) OTTAWA (KS) BRAVES edged their guests the STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS 103-96   ###   And the (25) UNIVERSITY OF ANTELOPE VALLEY PIONEERS clobbered the home-standing LA SIERRA COLLEGE EAGLES 103-62.

Haskell Indian Nations University IndiansHASKELL CLASSIC – The HASKELL INDIAN NATIONS UNIVERSITY INDIANS hosted the WILBERFORCE UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS in the Haskell Classic. The Indians grabbed a quick lead and then managed to keep the Bulldogs at arm’s length the rest of the way. In the end Haskell Indian Nations University won out by a count of 67-57.

Viterbo V-Hawks squareTHE COOLER TEAM NAME WINS – The VITERBO UNIVERSITY V-HAWKS won 85-72 against the visiting NORTH CENTRAL UNIVERSITY RAMS   ###   The GOVERNORS STATE JAGUARS meanwhile, defeated the INDIANA UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST REDHAWKS in an 85-83 Instant Classic   ###   And the ROOSEVELT UNIVERSITY LAKERS won 92-83 at the ROBERT MORRIS (IL) EAGLES (Should be the Wind Eagles)
