These are results in the non-playoff Bowl Games from Saturday. I covered the playoff scores yesterday.


Franklin & Marshall helmet goodCENTENNIAL-MAC BOWL – The FRANKLIN & MARSHALL COLLEGE DIPLOMATS from the Centennial Conference hosted the LYCOMING COLLEGE WARRIORS from the Middle Atlantic Conference. The Diplomats were chasing the Warriors 13-7 in the 1st Quarter and 20-14 at Halftime. Franklin & Marshall went on top 21-20 in the 3rd Quarter, a score that held up as the final tally, too.  

Utica Pioneers NEWWHITELAW BOWL – The UTICA COLLEGE PIONEERS took on the ITHACA COLLEGE BOMBERS in the 2018 Scotty Whitelaw Bowl. The Bombers were leading 28-21 at the break and 35-24 to end the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th the Pioneers exploded for 20 points, winning the game by a count of 44-42. 

Alfred SaxonsBUSHNELL BOWL – This year’s Asa Bushnell Bowl pitted the ALFRED UNIVERSITY SAXONS against the SALISBURY UNIVERSITY SEA GULLS. A 7-0 Saxons edge in the opening Quarter became a 7-7 tie at the Half. Neither team scored in the 3rd Quarter, but Alfred University added 7 more points in the 4th for a 14-7 win.

Springfield College Pride helmetNEW ENGLAND BOWL – The SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE PRIDE squared off against the MARITIME COLLEGE PRIVATEERS in this game. The Privateers grabbed a quick 7-0 lead in the 1st Quarter before the Pride went up 10-7 at Halftime. The teams exchanged Touchdowns in the 4th Quarter, resulting in a 17-14 triumph for Springfield College. 

Wesley WolverinesCHAPMAN BOWL – The WESLEY COLLEGE WOLVERINES did battle with the WESTMINSTER (PA) TITANS in Saturday’s Clayton Chapman Bowl. A 14-14 tie at the midpoint transformed into a shootout in the 2nd Half. Wesley College was on top 42-27 in the 3rd Quarter before winning it 42-34.

Grove City Wolverines newLYNAH BOWL – The 2018 James Lynah Bowl saw the GROVE CITY COLLEGE WOLVERINES taking on the MORRISVILLE STATE MUSTANGS. The Wolverines were out in front all the way. At Halftime Grove City led 28-12 and 42-26 in the 3rd before winning by a final score of 56-48. 

Susquehanna University River Hawks helmetCENTENNIAL-MAC BOWL, GAME II – In this second of three clashes in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Event the Centennial Conference’s SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY RIVER HAWKS played the MAC’s STEVENSON UNIVERSITY MUSTANGS. After a scoreless 1st Quarter things were knotted up at 7-7 by the break. Ten more points for the Riverhawks in the 4th Quarter gave them a 17-7 victory.

Bridgewater State BearsNEW ENGLAND BOWL, GAME II – This game pitted the BRIDGEWATER STATE BEARS against the SALVE REGINA UNIVERSITY SEA HAWKS. A very odd 1st Half ended with the Bears leading the Sea Hawks 12-5. From there Bridgewater State took control, ultimately winning the game 34-19. 

HELMETSURSINUSCENTENNIAL-MAC BOWL, GAME III – The 3rd and final game in this year’s Centennial-Mac Bowl Event was played between the URSINUS COLLEGE BEARS (Centennial) and the MISERICORDIA UNIVERSITY COUGARS (MAC). The Bears seized a 21-7 1st Quarter lead and never looked back enroute to a SEVENTY to FOURTEEN blowout.
