SIX OVER THREE UPSET – The 6 seeds – the THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHT HAWKS – stunned the 3rd seeded SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY BOBCATS in this thriller. Chalk seemed to be carrying the day at Halftime as the Bobcats led the Night Hawks 35-29 but Thomas University came out of the break like men possessed, coming from behind for a 75-68 victory. For the first time in program history the Night Hawks won a Quarterfinal Game and move on to the Semifinals. Javoris Cooks led the winners with a Double Double of 15 points and 10 rebounds with teammate Katrell Myers close behind with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
KEISER WAS WISER – The 4th seeded KEISER UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS did battle with the 5 seeds – the JOHNSON & WALES (FL) WILDCATS in this game. The Seahawks trailed the Wildcats 36-34 at the break but in the 2nd Half they assumed command. Keiser University got more and more separation from Johnson & Wales and won the contest by a score of 78-65. The Seahawks were led by Stanley Whittaker with a TRIPLE DOUBLE of 20 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds.

DON’T MESS AROUND WITH THE JIMMIES – This game pitted the 3 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES – against the 6th seeded VALLEY CITY STATE VIKINGS. The Jimmies parlayed a 39-35 Halftime edge over the Vikings into an 85-75 victory spurred by a 14-0 run early in the 2nd Half. Jacob Havron was out in front for the University of Jamestown with 22 points and 9 rebounds, followed by Jake Hagler with 20 points of his own.
BLUE HAWKS IN A FIGHT – In the 2 spot the DICKINSON STATE BLUE HAWKS faced the 7 seeds – the WALDORF COLLEGE WARRIORS and got quite a tussle. Halftime saw the Blue Hawks clinging to a mere 37-36 advantage but ultimately Dickinson State went on to win the game 73-67. The Blue Hawks had FOUR players score in double digits: Marcus White tossed in 18, Ryan Clark had 19, Reggie Fields, Jr notched 12 and Jake Buck came through with 11 points.
FIVE OVER FOUR UPSET – The 5th seeded DAKOTA STATE TROJANS went up against the 4 seeds – the VITERBO UNIVERSITY V-HAWKS. The Trojans held a comfortable 37-24 advantage by the midpoint of the game but the V-Hawks went on a 20-8 run to start the 2nd Half, cutting it to just a 45-44 score. From there Dakota State just barely outperformed Viterbo University, however, logging a 56-52 triumph. Seventeen points from Ian Barse led the Trojans to their win.
TOP SEED ROLLS – The NSAA’s top seeded BELLEVUE UNIVERSITY BRUINS clashed with the 8th seeded PRESENTATION COLLEGE SAINTS. The Bruins took charge early and by the Half led the Saints 49-33. Bellevue University coasted from there, going on to win the game 92-68. Jalen Hall was the top scorer for the Bruins with 17 points while his teammates Nick Hilton and Mike Cardenas tossed in 15 each.
