To be fair, the new president hasn’t yet demonstrated much understanding of his powers either. He doesn’t seem to realize he can’t dictate tax policy, or set the schedule for repealing/replacing the ACA. The leadership of his own party in Congress regards him as somewhere between a bill signing machine and a useful idiot who can be impeached if he won’t stay in line.

I’m not talking about reasonable arguments like you’re making. I’m just sick of all this Hitler Hitler Hitler nonsense and the way that teachers in schools around the country seem to be egging their students on to feel paniced and hysterical instead of explaining things to them in a reasonable way.
Yeah, I’m not a fan of hyperbole from any direction. This past election really lowered the standards for what used to be considered reasonable discourse.
