NUMBER THREE GETS KNOCKED OFF – The unranked BLINN COLLEGE BUCCANEERS traveled to face the number 3 team in the nation – the TYLER COLLEGE APACHES. A 14-14 tie at Halftime became a 29-24 edge for the Buccaneers to end the 3rd Quarter. From there Blinn College toppled the Apaches by a final score of 50-35.
NUMBER FOUR NO MORE – The number 8 TRINITY VALLEY COLLEGE CARDINALS took the field against the 4th ranked NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE BRONCOS (should be the Cavalry). Both teams put up 14 points in the 1st Quarter, with the Broncos going on top of the Broncos 34-28 by the break. That swelled to a 41-31 advantage to start the 4th Quarter, in which the Cardinals exploded for 14 points and a 45-41 comeback win.
OTHER UPSETS IN THE TOP TWENTY – The DAKOTA COLLEGE AT BOTTINEAU LUMBERJACKS fell behind the visiting (11) NORTH DAKOTA STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE WILDCATS but ultimately came back for a 30-27 victory ### Meanwhile the ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS notched a 21-7 road win over the number 16 COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS.
