USCB Sand SharksTHE SUN CONFERENCE – ROUND ONE – The top seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AT BEAUFORT SAND SHARKS – won an 8-7 thriller against the 6th seeded WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS    ###    Meanwhile the 5th seeded SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE clobbered the 2nd seeded SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY BOBCATS in an 11-6 upset    ###    And the 4 seeds – the KEISER UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS – devastated the 3rd seeded WEBBER INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WARRIORS 15-4. 

USAO Drovers BIGSOONER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND ONE – The 2 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS – roped and branded the 7th seeded SAINT GREGORY’S UNIVERSITY CAVALIERS to the tune of 14-4    ###    Next the (6) MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EVANGELS upset the (3) SOUTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES 14-7, then the Eagles eliminated the Cavaliers 16-6 in the night game   ###  

Meanwhile the (1) TEXAS WESLEYAN COLLEGE RAMS beat the (8) BACONE COLLEGE WARRIORS 4-1   ###   The (4) WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY PIONEERS won an 8-6 game against the (5) OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY STARS, who then went on to eliminate the Warriors NINETEEN to ONE in their night game.

image.lasermagic.net (200×200)RED RIVER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND ONE – The 3 seeds – the LSU-SHREVEPORT PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots) – crushed the 2nd seeded UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON AT VICTORIA JAGUARS by a score of 14-4    ###    The 4th seeded JARVIS CHRISTIAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS, meanwhile, had a huge day. First they upset the top seeds – the LSU-ALEXANDRIA GENERALS – in a 7-6 Instant Classic, and also defeated the 5th seeded OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY SAINTS 11-6.    

William Woods OwlsAMERICAN MIDWEST CONFERENCE – THIRD ROUND – The (7) WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY OWLS eliminated the (4) LYON COLLEGE SCOTS in a 5-4 epic of the diamond. Later in the day they eliminated the (2) FREED-HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS in a similar 5-3 upset.  Earlier the Lions had themselves eliminated the (5) PARK UNIVERSITY PIRATES 16-4.    ###    And the (3) CENTRAL BAPTIST COLLEGE MUSTANGS handed the (1) MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY SPARTANS their first defeat of the tournament in a tight 8-6 game.

Mayville State Comets SQUARENORTH STAR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION – ROUND ONE – The (6) MAYVILLE STATE COMETS rose up and toppled the (3) DAKOTA STATE TROJANS in a 19-2 blowout    ###    The (2) UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN JIMMIES skewered the (7) VITERBO UNIVERSITY V-HAWKS 15-2    ###    Next the (1) BELLEVUE (NE) BRUINS downed the (8) VALLEY CITY STATE VIKINGS to the tune of 16-6   ###    And the (5) WALDORF UNIVERSITY WARRIORS upset the (4) DICKINSON STATE BLUE HAWKS by a final score of 8-3. 

Saint Francis (il) Fighting Saints biggerCHICAGOLAND COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – FIRST ROUND – The (7) UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS (IL) FIGHTING SAINTS dragged down the (2) JUDSON UNIVERSITY EAGLES in a 9-7 ELEVEN INNING affair    ###   The (4) SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY COUGARS routed the (5) SAINT AMBROSE UNIVERSITY FIGHTING BEES 8-1    ###    Meanwhile the (6) ROBERT MORRIS (IL) EAGLES toppled the (3) TRINITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TROLLS by a score of 9-2    ###    And the (1) OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY TIGERS needed ELEVEN INNINGS of their own to defeat the (8) PURDUE UNIVERSITY AT CALUMET PEREGRINES 11-8.  

Northwestern (IA) Red Raiders logoGREAT PLAINS ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND TWO – The (4) NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS eliminated the (8) DAKOTA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS by a score of 5-2    ###   The (5) CONCORDIA (NE) BULLDOGS stunned the (1) MIDLAND UNIVERSITY WARRIORS 6-4 but the Warriors staved off elimination by knocking off the Red Raiders 13-8 in the night game   ###   Meanwhile the (3) MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS defeated the (7) HASTINGS COLLEGE BRONCOS in a 15-11 shootout    ###   The (2) BRIAR CLIFF UNIVERSITY CHARGERS then won two Elimination Games in a row, bouncing the (6) MOUNT MARTY COLLEGE LANCERS and eviscerating the aforementioned Broncos TWENTY to EIGHT.

missouri valley college vikings logoHEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND TWO – The (7) MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE VIKINGS eliminated the (6) CULVER-STOCKTON WILDCATS in a 4-1 upset    ###   The (4) MID-AMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY PIONEERS stayed alive by dispatching the disappointing (1) AVILA UNIVERSITY EAGLES 5-0   ###   The (5) BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS won a 16-7 catfight with the (8) PERU STATE BOBCATS    ###    And the (2) CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY EAGLES crushed the (3) GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS 13-5.  

Sterling Warriors logoKANSAS COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND THREE – The STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS dominated yesterday’s action in this Conference Tournament. First the Warriors eliminated the top seeded TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS in a 12-11 game for the ages, and then followed that up by bouncing the (2) YORK (NE) PANTHERS 9-4.   ###    And the (4) OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES clobbered the (5) KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY COYOTES by a score of 14-5.

ius_logoKENTUCKY INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – ROUND THREE – The top seeded INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS advanced to face the (4) UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE (OH) RED STORM for the KIAC title. They did that by bouncing back after a 10-9 loss to the Red Storm by eliminating the (2) WEST VIRGINIA TECH GOLDEN BEARS 7-3.    ###    Those Golden Bears had themselves moved on to face the Grenadiers in the night game by dispatching the (6) BRESCIA UNIVERSITY BEARCATS 17-3.  

Campbellsville Tigers logoMID-SOUTH CONFERENCE – ROUND THREE – A pair of shutouts in this tourney yesterday. First the (1) CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS eliminated the (6) SAINT CATHARINE COLLEGE PATRIOTS by a score of 5-0    ###    And then the (2) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS blanked the (5) CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY PHOENIX 4-0, sending them home as well.  

British Columbia ThunderbirdsNAIA WEST GROUP – ROUND ONE – The 2nd seeded UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA THUNDERBIRDS won a 4-3 Instant Classic against the 3 seeds – the COLLEGE OF IDAHO COYOTES   ###    Meanwhile the (4) CORBAN UNIVERSITY WARRIORS shut out the (5) MARYMOUNT (CA) MARINERS by a score of 9-0    ###    And in the night game the top seeded LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS defeated the aforementioned Corban team 7-0.

RustlerSam_webSO-CAL – ROUND TWO – The GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS trailed their guests the RIO HONDO COLLEGE ROADRUNNERS 3-1 in the 3rd Inning but made it a 3-3 tie in the 4th. The Roadrunners went back on top 5-4 in the 5th Inning but the Rustlers again pulled even with a run in the 8th Inning and added another in the 9th for a 6-5 victory. Pitcher Joshua Gogue notched the win.   ###    And the RIVERSIDE CITY COLLEGE TIGERS defeated the homestanding SADDLEBACK COLLEGE GAUCHOS 5-3 in a game won by the pitching of Daniel Agramont with Sabino Ramirez retiring 8 batters for the save.  

Bakersfield Renegades NEWSO-CAL – ROUND TWO (cont’d) – The BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES traveled to take on the LONG BEACH COLLEGE VIKINGS. The Renegades seized a 3-0 lead in the 1st Inning, then made it a 5-0 advantage in the 2nd but scored no more runs the rest of the game. The Vikings were only able to muster 1 run each in the 8th and 9th Innings, so Bakersfield College walked away with a 5-2 triumph. Pitcher Hudson Hartley went 9 Iron Man Innings for the win.   ###    And the CUESTA COLLEGE COUGARS notched a 7-4 victory over the visiting PALOMAR COLLEGE COMETS. Pitcher Louis Raymond got credit for the win and Dan Beavers logged a save.
