NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The two teams still standing in this tournament were the 2 seeds – the AUGUSTANA (SD) COLLEGE VIKINGS and the lone remaining 1 seed – the LINCOLN MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY RAILSPLITTERS. The Vikings put the Railsplitters in unfamiliar territory by being on top of them 43-38 at Halftime. After the break Augustana College inched further and further away from Lincoln Memorial University, ultimately winning the game by a score of 90-81. Daniel Jansen of the Vikings notched 25 points and 9 rebounds. * THE VIKINGS ARE NCAA DIVISION TWO CHAMPIONS *

ROUND TWO – GAME A – The 9 seeds – the BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES – took on the 8th seeded MOORPARK COLLEGE RAIDERS in this game. By Halftime the Renegades had put the Raiders on Upset Alert with a 39-33 lead. After the break Bakersfield College got more and more separation from Moorpark, ultimately winning the game by a final score of 96-78. DeAndre Dickson led the Renegades with a Double-Double of 25 points and 12 rebounds.
ROUND TWO – GAME B – In this game the 11th seeded MONTEREY PENINSULA COLLEGE LOBOS found themselves facing the 5 seeds – the CHABOT COLLEGE GLADIATORS. This game for the ages was locked up at 37-37 at the midpoint and in the 2nd Half the Lobos managed just enough separation from the Gladiators for a monumental 73-68 upset. Deondre Otis put up 25 points for Monterey Peninsula College.
ROUND TWO – GAME C – In the 4 spot the LAS POSITAS COLLEGE HAWKS took the court against the 14th seeded WEST HILLS COLLEGE AT COALINGA FALCONS. The Hawks had compiled a 38-30 advantage over the Falcons by Halftime and following the break squeezed out a one-point advantage in the 2nd Half for a 66-57 triumph. Las Positas College was led by Keith Hunter with his Double-Double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.
