COLLEGE BASKETBALL POST-SEASON BEGINS

Well, at least it has in the divisions covered by Balladeer’s Blog, as the NJCAA3 has its first District Champions, plus the Jersey Blues and the Cannoneers advanced.

eastfield-harvesters1DISTRICT 303: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This title clash pitted the storied EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS against the NORTH LAKE COLLEGE LAKERS. The Harvesters were on fire and by Halftime they led the Lakers by a score of 46-33.

After the break Eastfield College had to fight to keep North Lake College at arm’s length but in the end the Harvesters took the crown with an 83-68 win. Tremondre Anderson’s 22 points led the victors.  

Jefferson CannoneersHARK! I HEAR THE CANNON’S ROAR – The JEFFERSON COLLEGE CANNONEERS were battling with the CAYUGA COLLEGE SPARTANS for the right to advance.

The Cannoneers had grabbed a 33-28 advantage by the break, then outscored the Spartans 57-49 in the 2nd Half for a 90-77 triumph. Latrelle Lee came off the bench to lead Jefferson College with 23 points and 8 rebounds. 

Brookdale College Jersey BluesMEANWHILE, IN REGION 319 – The BROOKDALE COLLEGE JERSEY BLUES and the ROWAN COLLEGE AT GLOUCESTER ROADRUNNERS faced each other in tournament action. 

Eight different players scored for the Jersey Blues, who led the Roadrunners 43-38 at Halftime on their way to an 87-76 victory. Mason Jones led Brookdale in scoring with 23 points, while his teammate Dillon Salva logged a Double-Double with 20 points and 19 rebounds. 

Today the NAIA and CCCAA get rolling as well, plus there will be more NJCAA results.

  1. When new season begin, the fans like to cheers. Kids also have a blast at local games.
