Spalding Golden EaglesNUMBER SEVEN TAKES A FALL – The SPALDING UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES hosted the 7th ranked IOWA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS yesterday. The Golden Eagles had built up a nice 40-28 lead by Halftime and then went on to win the game in a 78-56 stunner. Brandon Goeing led Spalding University with 26 points.

Miami_University_HamiltonCENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 or more points in Regulation: The MIAMI (OH) AT HAMILTON HARRIERS notched a 100-78 road rout over the SOUTHERN STATE PATRIOTS    ***    The SOUTHERN MAINE SEAWOLVES topped their hosts the UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT MACHIAS CLIPPERS 102-92    ###    And the HUSTON-TILLOTSON UNIVERSITY RAMS obliterated the PAUL QUINN COLLEGE TIGERS to the tune of 123-62.  

Warren Wilson College OwlsYA SAY YA WANT OFFENSE? – Both teams made the Century Club in this all-offense all the time affair. The WARREN WILSON COLLEGE OWLS led the TOCCOA FALLS COLLEGE EAGLES 57-47 at the Half but then had to hold on by their fingertips for a ONE HUNDRED SEVEN to ONE HUNDRED FIVE victory. Justin Gonyea led the Owls with 22 points. Balladeer’s Blog told you to take the over on this game.

Crusaders-MadonnaUBUT ON THE FLIP SIDE … – The MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS took on the visiting MARYGROVE COLLEGE MUSTANGS in an absolute butt-kicking. The Crusaders parlayed a comfortable 51-36 lead at the break into a 107-67 blowout win by game’s end. Century Club meets the Under 70 Club in this contest. Khalil Malone’s 22 points were the most for Madonna University.  

Washington Adventist University ShockWASHINGTON D.C. (DISTRICT OF CLASSICS) – The WASHINGTON ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY SHOCK welcomed the UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT FORT KENT BENGALS yesterday. At Halftime the Shock held a slender 38-35 edge over the Bengals and after an equally intense 2nd Half went on to win by the same tight margin, 73-70. Brian Bridgeforth tossed in 21 points to lead WAU.  

Culinary Institute of America SteelsDON’T MESS WITH THE C.I.A. – The CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA STEELS traveled to take on the NEW ENGLAND BAPTIST COLLEGE EAGLES. The Steels proved once again that they can shine on the hardcourt as well as in the kitchen. The final tally in this rout was Culinary Institute 82  New England Baptist 42. You just don’t mess with the C.I.A.  

Canton KangaroosKANGAROOS IN CHARGE – The SUNY- CANTON KANGAROOS had squeezed out a slim 34-33 Halftime lead over their hosts the ALFRED STATE PIONEERS. After the break the Kangaroos took charge and went on to win the game 76-56. Canton’s Romario Fletcher notched a Double- Double with 23 points and 14 rebounds. 

Williamson College LogoLIKE A WELL-OILED MACHINE – The WILLIAMSON COLLEGE OF THE TRADES MECHANICS registered THE blowout of the day yesterday against the PATRICK HENRY COLLEGE PATRIOTS. At the mid-point the Mechanics led by an unbelievable 49-16 score enroute to an 81-37 triumph. Keron Tull led Williamson with 15 points.  

College of St Josephs Vermont Fighting SaintsINSTANT CLASSIC IN RUTLAND – The COLLEGE OF SAINT JOSEPH’S FIGHTING SAINTS welcomed the UNIVERSITY OF MAINE AT AUGUSTA MOOSE. The Fighting Saints led the Moose at Halftime by a razor-thin score of 44-43 and after the break managed a 90-86 win. Antonio Gordon tossed in 27 points for St Joseph’s.  

Central Maine MustangsA TALE OF TWO HALVES – The CENTRAL MAINE COLLEGE MUSTANGS and the visiting HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE FROGS ended the 1st Half of play with the Mustangs on top 37-30. From there the Frogs got kicked around the court as Central Maine went on to win the game by a count of 90-57. Rob Skinner’s 17 points led the Mustangs. 

Environ Science and Forestry Mighty OaksLIKE A MIGHTY OAK – The SUNY-ESF (Environmental Science and Forestry) MIGHTY OAKS were true Road Warriors yesterday against the KING’S COLLEGE LIONS. First they laid down a challenge with their 39-32 Halftime lead. Next they sealed the deal in style with an 87-67 victory. Ryan Caldwell led the Mighty Oaks, notching 7 assists AND a Double- Double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.  

Life Pacific College WarriorsNEW BUT DANGEROUS – The LIFE PACIFIC COLLEGE WARRIORS are new to intercollegiate sports but proved that that does not mean they’re not dangerous. On a road trip to square off against the BRISTOL UNIVERSITY BEARS the Warriors emerged with a win by a final score of 77-65. 

Christendom College CrusadersUNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The CHRISTENDOM COLLEGE CRUSADERS defended their home court in an 82-76 triumph over the MID-AMERICA CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY EVANGELS    ###    And the JOHNSON & WALES (NC) WILDCATS won a 79-75 nailbiter against the visiting COLUMBIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY RAMS. 

Central Penn Silver KnightsMORE COMFORTABLE MARGINS – The CENTRAL PENN COLLEGE SILVER KNIGHTS were on the road against the JAMESTOWN (NY) COLLEGE JAYHAWKS and won the game 93-71    ###    And the OHIO CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY TRAILBLAZERS got an incredible fight from the CARLOW UNIVERSITY CELTICS but still notched a 77-65 victory.
