AMERICAN MIDWEST CONFERENCE
ROUND ONE – GAME ONE – The 2 seeds – the LYON COLLEGE SCOTS – played the 7th seeded HANNIBAL- LA GRANGE TROJANS in this game. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Scots put up 5 runs in the 2nd and never looked back from there. Ultimately Lyon College annihilated the hapless Trojans by a final score of TEN to NOTHING. Kraig Kelley was the winning Pitcher for the Scots.
ROUND ONE – GAME TWO – The top seeded FREED- HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS took on the 8 seeds – the WILLIAMS BAPTIST COLLEGE EAGLES. A 1-0 1st Inning lead for the Lions held up until the 3rd when the Eagles tied the game at 1-1. In the 5th Inning Freed- Hardeman University made it a 3-1 game then added 4 more runs in the 7th on their way to a 7-1 victory. Brandon Guske pitched 9 Iron Man Innings for Freed- Hardeman University.
ROUND ONE – GAME THREE – In this contest the 4 seeds – the MISSOURI BAPTIST UNIVERSITY SPARTANS – faced the 5th seeded BENEDICTINE UNIVERSITY AT SPRINGFIELD BULLDOGS. Neither team scored until the 4th Inning, when the Spartans grabbed a 1-0 edge. In the 6th Inning the Bulldogs made it a 1-1 game but Missouri Baptist University countered that with another run of their own in the 7th. The Spartans rode that run to a 2-1 triumph. Pitcher Ryan Stapp got the win.
ROUND ONE – GAME FOUR – The 3rd seeded WILLIAM WOODS UNIVERSITY OWLS took the diamond against the 6 seeds – the LINDENWOOD UNIVERSITY AT BELLEVILLE LYNX – in this game. An upset seemed in the air as the Lynx seized a 2-0 lead in the 1st Inning and made that a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. However, from there the Owls shut out LU- Belleville while slamming in 3 runs of their own in the 5th to tie the game up. In the 7th Inning William Woods University took a 5-3 edge then exploded for 5 runs in the 9th, sealing a 10-3 victory. John Cavness was the winning Pitcher.
GOLDEN STATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
ROUND ONE – GAMES ONE TO THREE – Pitcher Alex Bush led the 2nd seeded WESTMONT COLLEGE WARRIORS in a 2-1 win over the CONCORDIA (CA) EAGLES. ### Next the top seeds – the MASTER’S COLLEGE MUSTANGS – smacked down the 4th seeded VANGUARD UNIVERSITY LIONS to the tune of 8-4. Jason Karkenny was teh winning Pitcher. ### And in the 3rd game (3) Concordia eliminated (4) Vanguard in a 12-2 drubbing.
GREAT PLAINS ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
ROUND ONE – The 7th seeded DAKOTA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS stunned the 2 seeds – the DOANE COLLEGE TIGERS – in a 9-8 Instant Classic ### The 4 seeds – the NORTHWESTERN (IA) COLLEGE RED RAIDERS – beat the 5th seeded MOUNT MARTY COLLEGE LANCERS 11-7 ### Meanwhile the (3) MORNINGSIDE COLLEGE MUSTANGS blanked the (6) HASTINGS BRONCOS 6-0 ### And the (1) BRIAR CLIFF CHARGERS defeated the (8) MIDLAND WARRIORS 11-4.
HEART OF AMERICA ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
ROUND ONE – The top seeds – the PERU STATE BOBCATS – won a 4-2 thriller over the 8th seeded CENTRAL METHODIST UNIVERSITY EAGLES ### The 5th seeded GRACELAND UNIVERSITY YELLOW JACKETS upset the 4th seeded AVILA UNIVERSITY EAGLES (formerly the Avalanche) 8-5 ### The (3) MIDAMERICA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY PIONEERS clobbered the (6) BENEDICTINE COLLEGE PIONEERS to the tune of FIFTEEN to FIVE ### And the (2) MISSOURI VALLEY COLLEGE VIKINGS slapped down the (7) CULVER STOCKTON COLLEGE WILDCATS 8-2.
KANSAS COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
ROUND TWO – The 3rd seeded KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY COYOTES upset the 2nd seeded STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS by a score of 6-1 ### Meanwhile the top seeds – the TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS – edged the 5th seeded BETHANY COLLEGE SWEDES in a 4-2 nailbiter ### And in the elimination game Sterling College bounced the UNIVERSITY OF SAINT MARY SPIRES by a score of 12-7.
KENTUCKY INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
ROUND TWO – The (1) POINT PARK UNIVERSITY PIONEERS dismembered the (4) BRESCIA BEARCATS in a FIFTEEN to FOUR laugher ### The (2) UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE RED STORM eked out a 2-1 win over the (3) INDIANA UNIVERSITY SOUTHEAST GRENADIERS ### Then the (6) ASBURY UNIVERSITY EAGLES decimated Brescia 10-zip in an elimination game ### And in the other elimination game Indiana University Southeast edged the (5) ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE EAGLES 8-7.

ROUND TWO – The (5) Defending National Champions of NAIA Baseball – the CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY BULLDOGS – stayed undefeated in tournament play by toppling the 1 seeds – the CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY TIGERS – in a 6-1 spanking ### The (8) UNIVERSITY OF PIKEVILLE BEARS eliminated the forever- choking (4) GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS in a 2-0 affair ### The (2) SAINT CATHARINE COLLEGE PATRIOTS bounced the (6) UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS PATRIOTS in a 4-0 shutout ### And the (3) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS won a 4-1 game with the (7) SHAWNEE STATE BEARS.
