CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA STEELS

Conference Affiliation: Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Comment: Presenting the academic institution where students, faculty and administrators can all honestly say “I’m with the CIA.” This school, known as “The World’s Premier Culinary College”, was founded in 1946 as a successor to the Office of Strategic Skilletry (I’m kidding. But not about the year it was founded.)  

In addition to preparing themselves for world-class careers in the culinary arts the student- athletes can participate in intercollegiate sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis and cross country. Anthony Bourdain is among the CIA’s famous alumni. Their team nickname the Steels is self-explanatory.
