Herkimer College GeneralsDISTRICT 3-A – CHAMPIONSHIP – Yesterday saw the final three games to decide this District’s title. First the HERKIMER COLLEGE GENERALS lambasted the ERIE COLLEGE KATS in an 11-3 manhandling.   ###   Then the ONONDAGA COLLEGE LASERS utterly annihilated what little remained of Erie College’s self esteem. The Lasers eviscerated the Kats THIRTEEN to NOTHING.   ###   And finally in the title clash itself the Herkimer College Generals masterfully tripled the offensive output of the Onondaga Lasers, defeating them by a score of 9-3. * THE GENERALS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA3 WORLD SERIES! *  

Tyler ApachesDISTRICT 3-C – CHAMPIONSHIP – Over the course of this District’s tourney each of the other title contenders had fallen by the wayside. The North Lake College Blazers, the Coastal Bend College Cougars and the North Arkansas College Pioneers all ended their postseason runs one day short of the championship game. The TYLER COLLEGE APACHES and the EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS were the two teams left standing. Though both schools have storied baseball teams the Apaches completely dominated yesterday, routing the Harvesters ELEVEN to ONE! * THE APACHES ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA3 WORLD SERIES!

Madison College WolfpackNORTH CENTRAL (2) DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The MADISON COLLEGE WOLFPACK did battle with the KANKAKEE COLLEGE CAVALIERS for this District’s pennant. The 2 teams were tied up at 1-1 after the 1st Inning but the Wolfpack led 5-2 after the 2nd and never looked back enroute to an 11-4 victory. * THE WOLFPACK ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA2 WORLD SERIES!

Southeastern (IA) College BlackhawksNORTH PLAINS (2) DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The battle of the North Plains District came down to the SOUTHEASTERN (IA) COLLEGE BLACKHAWKS and the SOUTHEAST COLLEGE STORM. The superior postseason experience of the Blackhawks proved the difference as Southeastern College downed Southeast College by a score of 9-4. * THE BLACKHAWKS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA2 WORLD SERIES! * 

Mercer County College VikingsNORTHEAST (2) DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – This District’s tournament winds up with a best-of- three series and this year’s contenders were the MERCER COUNTY COLLEGE VIKINGS and the CECIL COLLEGE SEAHAWKS. The Vikings swept the Seahawks in a pair of Instant Classics, with the final scores being 1-0 and 3-2. * THE VIKINGS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA2 WORLD SERIES!

Northern Oklahoma College JetsPLAINS (2) DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – Yesterday the NORTHERN OKLAHOMA COLLEGE JETS (Region 202 Champions) took on the HESSTON COLLEGE LARKS (Region 206 Champions) for the Plains District pennant. This TWELVE INNING marathon redefined the term “pitcher’s duel” as the score at the end of regulation was 0-0. Finally in the 12th the Jets notched a run for the win! * THE JETS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA2 WORLD SERIES! *

Hinds College Eagles logoSOUTH (2) DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – If you were looking for a thrilling game but with more offense than the Plains District pennant clash then the South District title tilt was for you. The HINDS COLLEGE EAGLES squared off against the JONES COUNTY COLLEGE BOBCATS. When all the dust had settled from this epic of the diamond Hinds College had won  7-3. * THE EAGLES ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA2 WORLD SERIES! *

Spartanburg Methodist College PioneersEASTERN DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – The SPARTANBURG METHODIST COLLEGE PIONEERS swept their opponents – the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AT SUMTER FIRE ANTS – as this District wrapped up its tournament. The Pioneers won a tight 5-4 battle and then a much more comfortable 7-2 game. * THE PIONEERS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA WORLD SERIES! *

Iowa-Western-CC-web-newNORTHERN DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – Perennial baseball powers the IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS found themselves facing the WABASH VALLEY COLLEGE WARRIORS for the Northern District pennant. The Warriors put up a valiant effort but in the end the Iowa Western machine took them out 9-3. * THE REIVERS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA WORLD SERIES!*

Delgado College DolphinsSOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The DELGADO COLLEGE DOLPHINS battled the SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE TROJANS for the title of this District. This was one of the best games of the day yesterday and was a riveting contest for all 9 Innings. In the end the Dolphins managed a tight 7-6 victory over the Trojans. * THE DOLPHINS ADVANCE TO THE NJCAA WORLD SERIES! *

Oxnard College CondorsSO-CAL REGION – In the First Semifinal Series the 2nd seeded OXNARD COLLEGE CONDORS swept the 3 seeds – the SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE VAQUEROS – in a pair of Instant Classics with final scores of 2-1 and 3-2.    ###    And in the Second Semifinal Series for this Region the top seeded ORANGE COAST COLLEGE PIRATES likewise swept their opponents – the 4th seeded SOUTHWESTERN (CA) COLLEGE JAGUARS. The Pirates won 5-4 and then in an 8-0 blowout.    

College of the Sequoias GiantsNOR-CAL REGION – First Semifinal Series – The 4th seeded COLLEGE OF THE SEQUOIAS GIANTS served up the upset of the weekend by toppling the 1 seeds – the CHABOT COLLEGE GLADIATORS. The Giants won 13-8, then lost 11-1 before taking the rubber game by a final tally of 6-3.   ###   And closing out the weekend’s action the 2nd seeded SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE MUSTANGS swept the 3rd seeded SANTA ROSA COLLEGE BEAR CUBS. The scores were a tight 2-1 and a more comfortable 5-1.
