Comment: Like with Bethel, there are seemingly dozens of Concordias all over the map, so the name is always followed by the geographical location. In the far future I’m sure we’ll see names like Concordia (Alpha Centauri) and Bethel (Mars) etc. The Cobbers is a very cool nickname and their logo features the best corn-related mascot in sports, no matter what a certain team in Lincoln, NE says.

I think its great football, basketball, hockey, base/soft-ball, soccer, volleyball are listed as Concordia major sports but I want to know why wrestling is not listed as a major sport at Concordia? The Cobber wrestling team has finished 5th in the nation in 2009, finished 6th in the nation 2010, and finished 7th in the nation in 2011. In the past three years the wrestlers have had a National Champ at 184, and five All-American. The Cobber’s finished last year in the top ten nationally and is currently rated 7th in the nation. Academically the cobber’s have had 5 academic All-Americans and the team finished last year with team GPA of 3.15… I think that deserves to be listed as a major sport !
