BALLADEER’S BLOG: WOMEN’S COLLEGE FLAG FOOTBALL RESULTS

milligan u buffaloesGAME ONE – The MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY BUFFALOES took on the LIFE UNIVERSITY RUNNING EAGLES.

In a very odd game, neither Flag Football team scored until the 4th Quarter, which ended in a 13-13 tie. In the Overtime sessions the Buffaloes prevailed, emerging with a 29-28 victory. For Milligan, Bridget Keyser completed 39 of 53 passing attempts for 312 yards and 4 Touchdowns with just 1 Interception.

baker wildcatsGAME TWO – The BAKER UNIVERSITY WILDCATS went up against the KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY COYOTES.

The Coyotes led Baker 7-0 to end the 1st Quarter and 21-12 at Halftime. Neither team scored in the 3rd Quarter, but in the 4th the Wildcats outscored Kansas Wesleyan 18-7 to win the game 30-28. Sanija Waller of Baker U. completed 19 of 34 passing for 148 yards and 4 Touchdowns. She also rushed for 106 yards with 1 Touchdown.   

Midland University WarriorsGAME THREE – In this gridiron event the MIDLAND UNIVERSITY WARRIORS took on the UNIVERSITY OF SAINT MARY SPIRES.

The Warriors converted a 6-0 opening Quarter lead over the University of Saint Mary into a 25-7 advantage by the midpoint of the game. The 3rd Quarter ended with Midland University on top of the Spires 31-7 and the 4th with a decisive 37-13 Warriors triumph.

keiser university seahawks logoGAME FOUR – The KEISER UNIVERSITY SEAHAWKS played the SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY BOBCATS (should be the Tomcats).

The Seahawks led St. Thomas University 7-0 in the 1st Quarter and 13-6 at the Half. From there Keiser University were out in front of the Bobcats 19-6 to end the 3rd Quarter and 25-13 to end the game. Jazmin Rhoden of the Seahawks passed for 23 of 32 for 190 yards and 4 Touchdowns. K.U. Receiver Ashlea Klam had 94 yards with a Touchdown.
