URSINUS RULES THE WORLD … KIND OF – The URSINUS COLLEGE BEARS from D3 were on the road against D2’s MILLERSVILLE UNIVERSITY MARAUDERS. After 4 embarrassing Quarters of football Regulation ended in a ZERO to ZERO tie. Multiple Field Goals and Overtime sessions later things stood at 9-9. At long last the Bears got a Touchdown and followed up with the 2-point conversion while shutting out the Marauders. Ursinus won this very odd game by a score of 17-9.
CUMBERLANDS COMES CLOSE – The NAIA’s UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS PATRIOTS came close to toppling D2’s CARSON-NEWMAN UNIVERSITY EAGLES. These two teams engaged in a textbook case of a shootout, with the homestanding Eagles holding on in the end for a tight three-point victory.
