GRENADIER WOMEN’S HOOPS TRIUMPHANT OVER THE UNION BULLDOGS

MCCASLIN, INGRAM AND ALBERT LEAD SCORING AS RED LIONS STRUGGLE

The Blue Angels of Mt. Mary College defeated the Red Lions of Lincoln Christian University in Women’s basketball 67-32 Tuesday evening , dropping LCU  to 0-5 for the season.

Lincoln was led in scoring by Jonni McCaslin with 10 points, Ashley Ingram with nine and Sharon Albert with eight. The Red Lions were only able to score 13 points in the second half as they shot 16.4% from the field for the night.

ERSKINE FLYING FLEET FLIES OVER THE BREVARD TORNADOES

Brevard, NC – After trailing by three at halftime, Erskine came back to win on the road 77 to 74 over Brevard College in non-conference women’s basketball action at Boshamer Gymnasium.  Erskine picks up their first win of the season to move to 1-4 while Brevard slips to 4-5.

XAVIER (LA) GOLD RUSH ARE 8-0

    HOUSTON — Devin Andrew scored 19 points Monday, and Kevin Miller’s free throw and steal in the final 10 seconds helped NAIA No. 20 Xavier University of Louisiana preserve a 63-60 men’s basketball victory over St. Thomas (Texas).
    The Gold Rush, winning on the road for the second time in three days, are 8-0 for the first time since the 1983-84 season. St. Thomas is 3-6. Continue reading

TERRY WILLIAMS OF THE LYNX NAMED USCAA BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

CONCORD — The NHTI, Concord’s Community College athletics department is pleased to announce that Terry Williams (Norwich, CT) has been named the USCAA Men’s Basketball player-of-the week.

            This is the second time this season that Williams as received this honor.

            Congratulations to Terry on the honor and to the entire NHTI men’s basketball team for their success this past week.
