FINAL FOUR: BERTH ONE – The 3 seeds – the LANCASTER BIBLE COLLEGE CHARGERS – faced the 6th seeded CLINTON COLLEGE COUGARS. By Halftime the Chargers had compiled a 48-40 advantage. After the break, the Cougars rallied furiously but fell just short as Lancaster Bible College prevailed 89-87. Trey Grube’s 18 points led the Chargers, while teammate Connor Storr logged a Double Double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.
FINAL FOUR: BERTH TWO – The 7th ranked NELSON AMERICAN INDIAN COLLEGE WARRIORS provided a massive Upset against the 2 seeds – the HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE UNIVERSITY TROJANS. Hannibal-LaGrange clung to a 40-39 edge at the Half, only for the Warriors to come from behind to win the game 80-75. Twenty-four points from Orlando Gonzales led Nelson American Indian College to victory.
FINAL FOUR: BERTH THREE – In this game the 4 seeds – the COLUMBIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY RAMS – clashed with the 5th seeded OHIO CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY TRAILBLAZERS. The Rams were on top 43-36 at the midpoint. From there, the Trailblazers nearly overtook them but lost to CIU 91-90. J.J. Vaughan contributed THIRTY-SIX points to lead the Rams.
FINAL FOUR: LAST BERTH – Fighting for this final slot were the 8th seeded COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS BOBCATS and the 1 seeds – the BETHEL (IN) UNIVERSITY PILOTS (Riverboat Pilots). The Bobcats put Bethel U. on Upset Alert by Halftime with their 45-41 edge, then carried through with a 92-80 triumph! THIRTY-THREE points from Garrett Snyder led College of the Ozarks, while teammate Jay Baxter got a Double Double of 14 points and 12 rebounds.
