DOES LOVE DIE WITH YOU? (2025) – This is the first novel from fellow blogger Mia Winhertt, known previously for her excellent short works. The story is a romantic fantasy so it’s outside my usual type of reading material, but I found it a wonderfully written tale that can’t help but inspire emotional reactions from anyone who has ever been in love but was reluctant to open up about it.
Mia gives us Aaron Philip, who has been in love with Diya Awasthi for seven years but has concealed from her the depth of his emotions. On the day he at long last works up the resolve to confess his love for her he dies in an accident on his way to meet with Diya.
Winhertt treats her readers to some Here Comes Mr. Jordan/ Heaven Can Wait business in the afterlife as Aaron convinces God to grant him seven days to tell Diya how he feels but he can only contact her at night in her dreams.
He and Diya learn how they wasted so much time and so much potential happiness together by being too reluctant to tell each other how they really felt. When an old flame reenters Diya’s life during Aaron’s seven-day reprieve we get heartbreaking choices and a reminder about what it means to truly love someone and want them to be happy.
It may seem like a cliche to mention that if you’ve ever been in love your heart will ache at the bittersweet conclusion to Does Love Die With You?, but you will also be reminded how you should live your life while it lasts.
I could go for a movie adaptation of this novel, as long as Blake Lively has nothing to do with it. You can buy it by clicking HERE.
