COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM AUGUST TWENTY-THIRD

The 2025 college football season kicked off yesterday in a few of the divisions covered here at Balladeer’s Blog. Even more teams will start their 2025 season this Thursday and Saturday.

NSAC

*** What was supposed to be the inaugural game in the new league the NSAC – the ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY ATLANTEANS hosting the SOUTH FLORIDA TECHNICAL COLLEGE WILDCATS – was postponed yesterday over the weather. All of the NSAC teams will play next Saturday.

NJCAA

MANHANDLED – The TYLER COLLEGE APACHES welcomed the DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS in this game. The Apaches dominated Dodge City College on both sides of the ball and led by a score of 17-7 come Halftime. After the break, Tyler left the Conquistadors even further behind in an authoritative 27-7 rout.

HI, CHAPARRALS! – This game saw the COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS take on the visiting ROCHESTER (MN) TECHNICAL COLLEGE YELLOW JACKETS. Usually a close rivalry game, this year’s edition of their clash was all Chaparrals to a degree that Rochester TC should just burn the game tape and deny being in Illinois yesterday. The College of DuPage won SIXTY to FOURTEEN!

DEFENSIVE PERFECTION – The ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS were feeling their inner might as they took it on the road against the CENTRAL LAKES COLLEGE AT BRAINERD RAIDERS (should be the Brainstorms). The Panthers went up 14-0 in the 1st Quarter and 37-0 at the Half. From there Ellsworth College coasted to a 49-0 triumph.

BIRDS IN FLIGHT – Texas’ TRINITY VALLEY COLLEGE CARDINALS traveled to face the INDEPENDENCE COLLEGE PIRATES yesterday. The Cardinals grabbed a 14-7 advantage in the opening Quarter, and that became a 21-7 lead by Halftime. After a scoreless 3rd Quarter the Pirates made it a 21-15 game before Trinity Valley College won out 28-15.

SHOWING NO MERCY – In this game the SNOW COLLEGE BADGERS found themselves on the road against the UTAH PACIFIC ISLANDERS, named for the large Polynesian community in Herriman, UT. The 7-0 Badgers edge in the 1st Quarter was as close as things got. The rest of the way Snow College piled up the points on their way to a 59-7 massacre.

PULVERIZED IN THE PEACH STATE – The GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE BULLDOGS took the field against the visiting CENTRAL GEORGIA TECHNICAL COLLEGE TITANS on Saturday. The Bulldogs proceeded to fold, spindle and mutilate the Titans, making them their prison brides by a final score of SIXTY-NINE to THIRTEEN.
