NORTH DISTRICT
FIRST SEMIFINAL – The HERKIMER COLLEGE GENERALS took the court against the GENESEE COLLEGE COUGARS. The Generals were on top 36-30 by Halftime, and from there they floored it. Herkimer College left the Cougars further and further behind as they won the game 86-65. Kenny Freeman and Jayson McGhee led the Generals with 20 points each, while teammate Oladele Oladitan logged a Double Double of 19 points & 10 rebounds.
SECOND SEMIFINAL – Up next the MOHAWK VALLEY COLLEGE HAWKS (should be Mohawks) clashed with the TOMPKINS CORTLAND COLLEGE PANTHERS. The 1st Half ended with the Hawks up 37-31. After the break Mohawk Valley College kept the Panthers at arm’s length for a 74-67 victory. Twenty points from Jalen Bradberry led the way for the Hawks.
MID-ATLANTIC DISTRICT
SEMIFINAL ONE – The OWENS COLLEGE EXPRESS played the VIRGINIA PENSINSULA COLLEGE GATORS. The Express closed the opening section on a 9-2 run for a 43-32 Halftime advantage. The hapless Virginia Peninsula College could not keep up the rest of the way as Owens College won 87-70. Neither team has provided detailed stats as of this writing.
SEMIFINAL TWO – It was the SANDHILLS COLLEGE FLYERS against the PENNSYLVANIA HIGHLANDS COLLEGE BLACK BEARS here. Another lopsided game as the Flyers led the Black Bears 50-33 by the midpoint. From there Sandhills College crushed their opponents by a Century Club score of 103-74. Damien Robinson’s Double Double of 25 points & 19 rebounds led the Flyers while teammate Zack Noel got a Double Double of his own with 22 points & 10 rebounds.
SOUTH CENTRAL DISTRICT
FIRST SEMIFINAL – The RICHLAND COLLEGE THUNDERDUCKS did battle with the EASTFIELD COLLEGE HARVESTERS. The Thunderducks literally TRIPLED-UP on Eastfield College at first, leading them 42-14 by Halftime. After the break Richland College took pity on the Harvesters and beat them by just 84-51. The Thunderducks were led by Manny Odo and his 18 points.
SECOND SEMIFINAL – This Semifinal saw the MOUNTAIN VIEW COLLEGE LIONS face the NORTH LAKE COLLEGE BLAZERS. The Lions put North Lake College on Upset Alert at the Half with their 36-29 lead. The Blazers didn’t go easily and forced Overtime with an 81-81 tie. In the extra session Mountain View College won 95-87 led by THIRTY-ONE points from Ashton Price and a Double Double of 16 points & 11 assists from Louis Conner.
NORTH ATLANTIC DISTRICT
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The last two teams standing in this tournament were the SALEM (NJ) COLLEGE MIGHTY OAKS and the MONTGOMERY COUNTY COLLEGE MUSTANGS. The Mighty Oaks were up 34-28 come Halftime, then squeezed out just a bit more separation from the Mustangs for a 74-66 triumph. Akeem Taylor led Salem College with his Double Double of 27 points & 13 rebounds.
