DOWN TO THE WIRE – The INDIANA FEVER (11-15) took it on the road against the MINNESOTA LYNX (17-8).
The Fever eked out a 20-19 edge in the 1st Quarter, but Minnesota knotted everything up at 38-38 by Halftime. The Lynx then went on top 60-53 to end the 3rd Quarter, but in the 4th Indiana stormed from behind to win the game 81-74. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 21 points, while her teammates Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark contributed a Double Double of 17 & 16, and 17 points, respectively.
BROOKLYN BATTLE AT BARCLAY’S – In this game the NEW YORK LIBERTY (21-4) welcomed the CONNECTICUT SUN (18-6) to the Barclay’s Center.
The 1st Half ended with the Liberty up 45-42 over Connecticut. The Sun proceeded to tie the game at 63-63 in the 3rd Quarter, while the 4th ended in an 82-74 victory for New York. Sabrina Ionescu tossed in THIRTY points to lead the Liberty in this thriller.
NOTHING BUT THE ROAD AND SKY – The CHICAGO SKY (10-14) traveled to take on the LAS VEGAS ACES (16-8).
By the midpoint of the game the Sky held a 44-37 advantage over the home team. After the break, Chicago managed to squeeze out just a bit more separation from the Aces, ultimately winning out 93-85. THIRTY-FOUR points from Chennedy Carter led the Sky, and her teammate Angel Reese notched a Double Double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
GRUDGE MATCH – This game pitted the SEATTLE STORM (17-8) against the home standing LOS ANGELES SPARKS (6-18).
The Storm led L.A. 19-17 and 41-37 in the 1st and 2nd Quarters, respectively. The 3rd Quarter saw the Sparks pull to within 64-61 and the 4th ended in an 89-83 triumph for Seattle. Jewell Loyd of the Storm put up THIRTY points to lead her team, supported by Nneka Ogwumike’s Double Double of 23 points and 10 rebounds.
QUICKSILVER – The PHOENIX MERCURY (13-12) found themselves on the road against the WASHINGTON MYSTICS (6-19).
The Mystics were out in front of their opponents 19-17 in the opening Quarter and 46-44 at Halftime. From there the Mercury mounted a fierce rally, outscoring Washington 52-41 to win the game 96-87. Brittney Griner led Phoenix with 23 points, while her teammate Natasha Cloud added a Double Double of 12 points and 10 assists.

Great posts as always. I mentioned that I don’t take much interests in sports but I always find your posts entertaining. This post about WNBA Results brought to my mind great sports movies that I admire. For instance, it reminded me about the movie “Chariots of Fire”. Hugh Hudson’s Oscar-winning drama told the story of runners that participated in Olympics games. One of the greatest sports films ever made.
