Ah. Small college (small town) life. Because of he NBA (political obnoxiousness, narcissism) I no longer enjoy BBall. Both the NBA and NFL (and to a lesser extent MLB) have made me forget saner times when acne-scarred hometown boys played and crowds were treated to players not playing for filthy lucre. Oh, to go back to those times, those sports, those people. Where will I find a Claxbury Corners? Thanks for evoking GOOD memories.
Glad to do it! Those sentiments match why I started covering lower-division college sports years ago! Claxbury Corners needs to be found somewhere!
It does indeed exist…
Glad to hear it!
Great posts as always. I’m not a big fan of basketball so I find these posts hard to comment on. That being said, I have always enjoyed the way basketball gets portrayed in movies. If you are a fan of the game, I would recommend watching the film “Air”. Based on a true story, it captures the collaboration between a pair of inventors at Nike to create a shoe for basketball player Michael Jordan. It doesn’t have any scenes of basketball but is a touching tribute to the iconic sports player.
Here’s why it’s worth watching:
I appreciate it! I’m looking forward to reading your review of Air.
