DIVISION TWO OWNS DIVISION ONE – Three Division 2 teams downed Division 1 teams on Saturday – the CENTRAL STATE MARAUDERS edged their hosts the MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE DELTA DEVILS 24-21 ### The VIRGINIA STATE TROJANS won 33-24 at the NORFOLK STATE SPARTANS ### And the BOWIE STATE BULLDOGS doubled-up on the home standing DELAWARE STATE HORNETS 22-11.
KNOCKING OFF NUMBERS THREE & FOUR – NCAA Division 3’s 6th ranked ST. JOHN’S UNIVERSITY JOHNNIES won a 34-31 Overtime thriller against the number 4 team in the nation – the TRINITY (TX) TIGERS ### And the (23) UW-RIVER FALLS FALCONS clobbered the 3rd ranked UNIVERSITY OF MARY HARDIN-BAYLOR CRUSADERS 45-22.
AND NUMBERS NINE AND TEN GO TUMBLING AFTER – Staying in D3 for the moment, the (18) JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY BLUE JAYS upset the (9) ITHACA COLLEGE BOMBERS 27-17 ### And the (17) CORTLAND STATE RED DRAGONS downed the (10) DELAWARE VALLEY AGGIES by a score of 42-13.
SPIRIT OF SEVENTY-SIX – Up in the NAIA the number 21 GEORGETOWN (KY) COLLEGE TIGERS hosted the KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS. The Tigers seized a quick 34-0 lead in the opening Quarter and never looked back from there. In the end Georgetown College eviscerated the Knights SEVENTY-SIX to NOTHING.
ONE AND TWO ROLL – Down in the NJCAA, the top-ranked team in the nation – the HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS – incinerated their guests the ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS to the tune of 72-7 ### And the 2nd ranked IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS defeated the number 11 GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE BULLDOGS by a final score of 26-10.
USCAA GAME OF THE WEEK – The game of the week up in the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association) saw the NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS (Shipbuilders) host the AVERETT UNIVERSITY COUGARS. The Builders led 14-10 by Halftime but the Panthers owned the 2nd Half for a 34-14 victory.
OLYMPIAN EFFORT – Way down in the CCCAA, the (14) SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS visited the SAN BERNARDINO COLLEGE WOLVERINES yesterday. The Olympians dominated on both sides of the ball, leading the Wolverines 17-0 in the 1st Quarter and 41-0 at the break on their way to a 47-0 shutout.

WORKING OVERTIME – The CUMBERLAND UNIVERSITY PHOENIX took it on the road against the WEBBER INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY WARRIORS yesterday and managed a 19-13 victory in the extra session ### And the HASTINGS COLLEGE BRONCOS won 24-17 in OT at the DAKOTA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY TIGERS (should be Blue Tigers).
UNCOMMON VALOR – In this game the EVANGEL UNIVERSITY VALOR visited the TABOR COLLEGE BLUEJAYS. A 7-0 1st Quarter lead for the Valor turned into a 7-7 tie by Halftime. In the 3rd Quarter Evangel University went back up 14-7, which was also the final count after a scoreless 4th Quarter.
BLOWOUTS ON THE ROAD – The (9) LINDSEY WILSON COLLEGE BLUE RAIDERS won a 51-14 laugher at the SAINT ANDREW’S UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS ### Meanwhile, the (25) DORDT UNIVERSITY DEFENDERS hammered their hosts the DOANE UNIVERSITY TIGERS 49-7 ### And the (23) BETHEL (KS) THRESHERS thrashed the UNIVERSITY OF SAINT MARY SPIRES 45-22.
NCCAA
UNDER THE RADAR CLASSIC – The WARNER UNIVERSITY ROYALS paid a visit to the BREVARD COLLEGE TORNADOES. The Royals led 14-3 in the 1st Quarter and 23-3 at the Half. The Tornadoes forced Overtime by tying things up 23-23 to end Regulation. In OT Warner U. shut out Brevard College then scored a TD for a 29-23 win.
CATFIGHT – This game pitted the GREENVILLE UNIVERSITY PANTHERS against the home standing CONCORDIA (Chicago) COUGARS. The Panthers dominated, converting their 20-0 midpoint advantage into a 41-14 road smackdown of the Cougars.
FIFTIES NOSTALGIA – The OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY TIGERS (should be Purple Tigers) traveled to face the MADONNA UNIVERSITY CRUSADERS. The Tigers led 20-0 and 34-0 in the 1st and 2nd Quarters respectively. After the break the humiliation continued for the Crusaders as ONU utterly crushed them to the tune of 55-0.
NCAA DIVISION TWO
ROAD WARRIORS – The EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE WASPS stung the CONCORD UNIVERSITY MOUNTAIN LIONS by a score of 56-10 ### The TEXAS A&M AT KINGSVILLE JAVELINAS tripled up on the COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY MAVERICKS 30-10 ### And the NEWBERRY COLLEGE WOLVES snuck past the SHIPPENSBURG U. RED RAIDERS 14-10.
TANGLED UP IN BLUE – In this game the BLUEFIELD STATE BIG BLUES visited the LIVINGSTONE COLLEGE BLUE BEARS. The Big Blues kept the Blue Bears off the scoreboard until the 4th Quarter. The rest of the game they had their way with them for a 41-7 victory.
MASSACRES – The LOCK HAVEN UNIVERSITY BALD EAGLES hammered the visiting POST UNIVERSITY EAGLES by a score of 58-7 ### Elsewhere, the (25) COLORADO STATE AT PUEBLO THUNDER WOLVES mauled their guests the MIDWESTERN STATE MUSTANGS 37-8 ### And the TIFFIN UNIVERSITY DRAGONS absolutely scorched the MCKENDREE UNIVERSITY BEARCATS 79-14.
NCAA DIVISION THREE
ALL NAME GAMES – The NEBRASKA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY PRAIRIE WOLVES found their way to Texas to take on the AUSTIN COLLEGE KANGAROOS and defeated them 19-7 ### Meanwhile, the ILLINOIS COLLEGE BLUE BOYS dealt a 31-0 loss to the MILLIKIN UNIVERSITY BIG BLUE ### And the CLAREMONT-MUDD-SCRIPPS COLLEGE STAGS won 24-15 at the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO MAROONS.
PUTTING IN OVERTIME – In this game the ALLEGHENY COLLEGE ALLIGATORS clashed with the home standing WAYNESBURG UNIVERSITY YELLOW JACKETS. The Alligators seemed to have the game under control with their 26-7 Halftime advantage. After the break, however, the Yellow Jackets forced Overtime with a 33-33 tie in the 4th Quarter. In OT Allegheny College won out 39-36.
ENGINEERS HOME AND AWAY – The RENSSELAER POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTE ENGINEERS put together a 38-27 victory at the DICKINSON COLLEGE RED DEVILS ### And the MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERS took out the visiting BRIDGEWATER STATE BEARS 41-27.
NJCAA
NUMBER FIVE TAKES A FALL – This game pitted the (9) IOWA CENTRAL COLLEGE TRITONS against the visiting (5) GARDEN CITY COLLEGE BRONCBUSTERS. The Broncbusters led 12-7 at Halftime but the 3rd Quarter ended in a 20-20 tie. In the 4th the Tritons made their move, taking down Garden City College 30-20.
ROAD RAGE – The DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS handed their hosts the COFFEYVLLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS a 16-7 loss ### Elsewhere, the HOCKING COLLEGE HAWKS put away the home standing COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE LIONS 30-19 ### And the MONROE COLLEGE MUSTANGS left the NASSAU COUNTY COLLEGE LIONS dealing with a 31-13 rout.
WILD WEST – The (10) SNOW COLLEGE BADGERS out of Utah welcomed the (14) NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE BRONCOS (should be the Cavalry). A 7-6 1st Quarter edge for NMMI remained unchanged at the Half. The Badgers went up 12-7 in the 3rd Quarter before winning it 27-13 in the 4th.

CLOSE CALL FOR NUMBER ONE – The number 1 COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO BULLDOGS were on the road against the 15th ranked SIERRA COLLEGE WOLVERINES. This was a tale of two Halves as the Bulldogs were up 20-0 by Halftime, but then had to hold on by their fingertips against a furious Wolverines rally to win the game 37-34.
ALL NAME GAMES – The (6) GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE RUSTLERS roped and branded the visiting BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES by a score of 48-23 ### Meanwhile, the PIERCE COLLEGE BRAHMA BULLS gored the COMPTON COLLEGE TARTARS 32-8 ### And the COLLEGE OF THE DESERT ROADRUNNERS won 33-14 at the GLENDALE COLLEGE VAQUEROS.
GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN – In this game the (3) MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES played host to the (24) MOUNT SAN JACINTO COLLEGE EAGLES. A scoreless opening Quarter was followed by the Mounties going on top 16-0 at the Half. Neither team scored in the 3rd Quarter before exchanging Touchdowns in the 4th as Mount SAC won out 23-7.
