The 2023 college football season kicked off last night in some of the divisions covered here at Balladeer’s Blog.

A scoreless opening Quarter was followed by a 7-7 tie at the Half. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Broncbusters clinging to a 13-9 edge. From there Garden City College defeated the Grizzlies 27-22.
DEFENDING CHAMPS OPEN WITH A WIN – Yesterday saw the defending National Champions – the D3 (1) COLLEGE OF DUPAGE CHAPARRALS – take it on the road against the ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS. In the previous 19 clashes between these two teams the Panthers had won 10 times and the Chaparrals 9 times. Last night the College of DuPage evened up the series with a 17-10 triumph.
KNOCKING OFF NUMBER FOUR – And in the late game the 15th ranked TRINITY VALLEY COLLEGE CARDINALS were guests of the number 4 team in the nation – the SNOW COLLEGE BADGERS. The Badgers led 14-7, 14-10 and 21-17 in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters respectively. In the 4th, the Cardinals came from behind to win the game 31-24.
It’s back! I’m not a football fan but I like the energy of college football.
I understand completely! I remember you saying you had sort of a fondness for Navy and Notre Dame, I believe.
Trinity Snow College sounds like it might have been a good watch.
Yes it was!
