THE 2020 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON KICKS OFF THURSDAY NIGHT

… At least it does in some of the divisions covered here at Balladeer’s Blog! There are two games on the slate for Thursday night plus 4 more set for Saturday. Here are the matchups for this Thursday and Saturday –

THURSDAY

The DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS, out of the Jayhawk Conference, welcome the TRINITY VALLEY COLLEGE CARDINALS, from the Western States Football League. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00PM Central Time. 

Another Jayhawk Conference team, the COFFEYVILLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS, take it on the road against the ELLSWORTH COLLEGE PANTHERS, out of the Iowa Collegiate Conference. This game also kicks off at 7:00PM Central Time.

SATURDAY

The VERMILION COLLEGE IRONMEN travel to face the MINNESOTA STATE TECHNICAL COLLEGE SPARTANS in a gridiron grudge match between two teams from the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. The game is set to kick off at 3:00PM Central Time.

There are two games with a scheduled 1:30PM Central Time Kickoff. This one will feature the NORTH DAKOTA STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE WILDCATS hosting the MINNESOTA WEST TECHNICAL COLLEGE BLUE JAYS. Despite the Wildcats’ location, both teams compete in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.   

The other game scheduled to kick off at 1:30PM Central Time this Saturday will pit the ITASCA COLLEGE VIKINGS against their hosts, the ROCHESTER (MN) TECHNICAL COLLEGE YELLOW JACKETS. This pigskin clash is another MCAC head-to-head matchup.

And the final football game of the night this coming Saturday presents the BLINN COLLEGE BUCCANEERS from the Western States Football League taking on the visiting TEXAS A&T DRILLERS, who play as Independents. Kickoff is set for 7:00PM Central Time.
