The Bulldogs were unimpressed, grabbing a 17-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looking back from there. In the end the College of San Mateo devastated the Roadrunners by a count of FIFTY-ONE to TWELVE!
WHEN RANKED TEAMS CLASH – The number 5 SADDLEBACK COLLEGE GAUCHOS took the field against the 7th ranked EL CAMINO COLLEGE WARRIORS and defeated them in a 48-45 Instant Classic ### The (1) FULLERTON COLLEGE HORNETS beat perennial powers the (4) MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES 49-23 ### And the (3) RIVERSIDE CITY COLLEGE TIGERS survived a 42-34 visit from the (12) VENTURA COLLEGE PIRATES.
ROAD RENEGADES – The (15) BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE RENEGADES traveled to face the LOS ANGELES HARBOR COLLEGE SEAHAWKS in this game. The Renegades led 14-6 to end the 1st Quarter but that expanded to a massive 34-6 advantage by Halftime. Bakersfield College coasted from there, crushing the Seahawks by a final score of 47-6.
WORKIN’ OVERTIME – The SACRAMENTO CITY COLLEGE PANTHERS paid a call on the SANTA ROSA COLLEGE BEAR CUBS and after Regulation ended in a 34-34 tie, the Panthers won it in OT 37-34 ### And the AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE BEAVERS trailed their guests the FRESNO CITY COLLEGE RAMS 20-7 at the break only to force Overtime with a 35-35 deadlock. The Beavers won it in the extra session by a score of 42-35.
GRIDIRON GRUDGE MATCH – This game pitted the PALOMAR COLLEGE COMETS against the home-standing MOORPARK COLLEGE RAIDERS. A 7-7 1st Quarter tie became a 21-13 Comets lead by Halftime. The 3rd Quarter ended with the Raiders on top 34-31 before Palomar College emerged with a 38-34 triumph.
UNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The PASADENA CITY COLLEGE LANCERS played host to the SOUTHWESTERN (CA) COLLEGE JAGUARS and won a 38-34 nailbiter ### Meanwhile the GROSSMONT COLLEGE GRIFFINS logged a 17-10 road victory over the CHAFFEY COLLEGE PANTHERS ### And the VICTOR VALLEY COLLEGE RAMS defeated the WEST LOS ANGELES WILDCATS 24-21.
