NJCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL RESULTS FROM SEPTEMBER 2nd

HOME-STANDS – The SCOTTSDALE COLLEGE FIGHTING ARTICHOKES hosted the GLENDALE COLLEGE GAUCHOS on Saturday and manhandled them by a score of 37-7    ###    Meanwhile the NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA A&M GOLDEN NORSEMEN lambasted the visiting NEW MEXICO MILITARY INSTITUTE BRONCOS (should be the Cavalry) 40-7    ###    And the MESABI RANGE COLLEGE NORSE clobbered the MINNESOTA STATE SPARTANS 42-15.   

WHEN TITANS CLASH – The 12th ranked team in the nation – the IOWA WESTERN COLLEGE REIVERS – played host to the HUTCHINSON COLLEGE BLUE DRAGONS. By Halftime the Reivers held a 21-7 advantage over the Blue Dragons. After the break Iowa Western College had to withstand Hutchinson’s furious comeback attempt to emerge with a 27-21 victory. The Reivers improve to 2-0, Hutch is now 1-1.   

SHUTOUTS – The ASA COLLEGE AVENGERS folded, spindled and mutilated their guests the NEW JERSEY ACADEMY WARRIORS in a 49-0 laugher.    ###    And the GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE BULLDOGS sent the MIDDLE GEORGIA STATE KNIGHTS back home reeling from a SEVENTY-ONE to NOTHING trouncing.

INDEPENDENCE WITH A WIN – The INDEPENDENCE COLLEGE PIRATES took it on the road against the FORT SCOTT COLLEGE GREYHOUNDS. The Pirates raced out to a 14-0 1st Quarter lead which had turned to just 14-10 by the Half. From there Independence College held it together for a change, leading the Greyhounds 24-13 in the 3rd Quarter before winning the game 30-16.

ROAD WARRIORS – The ARIZONA WESTERN COLLEGE MATADORS clashed with their in-state rivals the EASTERN ARIZONA COLLEGE GILA MONSTERS and defeated them in a 21-14 comeback    ###    And the CENTRAL LAKES COLLEGE AT BRAINERD RAIDERS (should be the Brainstorms) smacked down the MINNESOTA WEST BLUE JAYS 28-12.

DODGE CITY CONQUERS IOWA – The DODGE CITY COLLEGE CONQUISTADORS traveled to take on the IOWA CENTRAL COLLEGE TRITONS. After a 7-7 1st Quarter tie the Conquistadors managed a 14-10 edge by Halftime. After the break Dodge City College led the Tritons 21-10 in the 3rd Quarter, then held on for a 28-20 victory.

UNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The NORTH DAKOTA STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE WILDCATS held on against a comeback attempt by the VERMILION COLLEGE IRONMEN, eking out a 23-20 win    ###    And the RIDGEWATER COLLEGE WARRIORS turned a 6-6 Halftime tie into a 13-6 road win over the FOND DU LAC TRIBAL COLLEGE THUNDER.

BATTLE IN THE TOP TEN – The number 4 team in the nation – the TRINITY VALLEY COLLEGE CARDINALS – visited the 7th ranked NAVARRO COLLEGE BULLDOGS for an Instant Classic. At the break the Bulldogs were clinging to a 19-17 lead which held up until the 4th Quarter when the Cardinals won it 25-19.   

BLOWOUTS – The MONROE COLLEGE MUSTANGS body-slammed their hosts the HOCKING COLLEGE HAWKS to the tune of 56-20    ###    The MESA COLLEGE THUNDERBIRDS crushed the PHOENIX COLLEGE BEARS 40-10    ###    And the LOUISBURG COLLEGE HURRICANES obliterated the home-standing SOUTHERN SPORTS ACADEMY PANTHERS by a score of 52-6.
