HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO COLLEGE FOOTBALL!

Northeastern_Oklahoma_AMIt was on November 6th, 1869 that Rutgers and Princeton played the very first college football game “on the banks of the Raritan” as the Rutgers fight song says. One of the things I love about college football is how far back its history goes.

It feels odd to think that Ulysses S Grant was in the White House when that game was played. If his cabinet members had gotten involved in the sport I’m sure they would have masterminded cheating and recruitment scandals that make today’s revelations look pretty mild by comparison!

A pack of larcenous, dishonest weasels in the White House, just like today! The more things change, the more they stay the same! From Credit Mobilier to Solyndra, Benghazi, the IRS scandals, and all the other countless scandals of the failed Obama presidency!

Plus Hillary “Bugsy” Clinton has outdone them all in corruption and hasn’t even become president yet! Here’s to 147 years of college football and to criminals in the White House!
