COLLEGE FOOTBALL: CCCAA RECAPS

Antelope Valley CollegeONE POINT WONDER – The ANTELOPE VALLEY COLLEGE MARAUDERS welcomed the SAN DIEGO MESA COLLEGE OLYMPIANS on Saturday in a clash of cool-named teams. The 1st Half ended in a 14-14 tie and the 2nd Half was just as tight. In the end the Marauders emerged with a 28-27 victory over the Olympians. QB Blake Shepherd notched a Touchdown through the air and another on the ground for Antelope Valley College.

Saddleback_CASADDLEBACK PREVAILS – The SADDLEBACK COLLEGE GAUCHOS took the field against the visiting LONG BEACH COLLEGE VIKINGS. The Gauchos trailed the Vikings 24-7 to end the 1st Quarter and 27-10 at Halftime. After the break Saddleback College poured it on, making it a 30-24 game in the 3rd enroute to a 37-33 comeback win. Gauchos QB Jacob Gibson had 2 TD’s on 320 yds passing. 

Pierce CollegeWAS THIS A POLO MATCH? – This game pitted the PIERCE COLLEGE BRAHMA BULLS against the homestanding LOS ANGELES SOUTHWEST COLLEGE COUGARS. After a scoreless 1st Quarter the two teams went into the Half knotted up at 3-3. In the 2nd Half the Brahma Bulls outscored the Cougars 9-7 for a Polo score victory of 12-10. RB Corey Wright rushed for 128 yds for Pierce College. 

East Lost Angeles Huskies helmetDOUBLING UP ON THE COMPETITION – The EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE HUSKIES sent the ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE BULLDOGS back home reeling from a 38-19 comeback beatdown.   ###    And the DIABLO VALLEY COLLEGE VIKINGS (should be the Diablos) hammered the homestanding CHABOT COLLEGE GLADIATORS to the tune of 28-14. 

Palomar Comets helmet REALUNDER THE RADAR CLASSICS – The PALOMAR COLLEGE COMETS held on to withstand an invasion from the SANTA MONICA COLLEGE CORSAIRS in a 35-30 thriller.   ###    Meanwhile the EL CAMINO COLLEGE WARRIORS snuck past the homestanding MOORPARK COLLEGE RAIDERS 31-29   ###   And the VENTURA COLLEGE PIRATES defeated the visiting MOUNT SAN ANTONIO COLLEGE MOUNTIES by a score of 34-29.

mount-san-jacinto-college-eagles-helmetSHUTOUTS – The MOUNT SAN JACINTO COLLEGE EAGLES had their way with their guests the COMPTON COLLEGE TARTARS as they parlayed a 14-0 1st Quarter lead into a 43-0 slaughter.   ###    And the MERCED COLLEGE BLUE DEVILS logged a FORTY-SEVEN to NOTHING road shutout of the SAN JOSE CITY COLLEGE JAGUARS.
