DAY ONE: GAME ONE – To start things off the 8 seeds – the CLEARY UNIVERSITY PROWLING COUGARS – took on the 9th seeded PSU-BEAVER NITTANY LIONS. A 3-3 tie in the 2nd Inning became a 4-3 edge for the Prowling Cougars in the 3rd and ultimately a 7-6 win for Cleary University. Pitcher Jack Ropp of the Prowling Cougars picked up the win.
DAY ONE: GAME TWO – Up next the 2nd seeded ROCHESTER COLLEGE WARRIORS did battle with the 7th seeded PSU-DUBOIS LIONS. Neither team scored until the 3rd Inning, when the Warriors went up 1-0. The Warriors added another run in the 4th Inning but that was the end of the offense in this Pitcher’s Duel. Rochester College won the game 2-0 courtesy of Pitcher Jesse Rometty, who was on the mound for the entire game.
DAY ONE: GAME THREE – The 3 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI AT CLERMONT COUGARS – faced the WRIGHT STATE AT THE LAKE LAKERS in this game. After a scoreless 1st Inning the Lakers grabbed a 1-0 advantage in the 2nd. The Cougars asserted themselves right after that, taking a 4-1 lead in the 3rd Inning on their way to a 6-1 victory. Kyle Miller was the winning Pitcher for UC-Clermont.
DAY ONE: GAME FOUR – The 5th seeded ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY AT PEORIA EAGLES played the Defending National Champions – the 4th seeded NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE SCHOOL BUILDERS. A 1-0 2nd Inning lead for the Eagles stayed unchanged until the 5th, when the Builders made it a 1-1 tie. That became a 2-1 lead for NNAS in the 6th but RMU-Peoria added 2 runs in the 7th Inning for a 3-2 win. TR Dunne pitched a complete game for the victors.
DAY ONE: GAME FIVE – To wrap up the day the top seeded COLLEGE OF SAINT JOSEPH’S (sic) FIGHTING SAINTS took the diamond against the 8th seeded Cleary University Prowling Cougars from Game One. The Fighting Angels seized a 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning, made that a 4-0 edge in the 3rd and ultimately won the game in a TEN to ONE blowout! Pitcher Alan Madsen won it for College of Saint Joseph’s.

SOONER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The 2 seeds – the UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND ARTS OF OKLAHOMA DROVERS – clashed with the 4th seeded WAYLAND BAPTIST UNIVERSITY PIONEERS for the title. The Drovers trailed the Pioneers 2-1 in the 1st Inning but knotted things up at 2-2 in the 2nd. From there USAO shut out WBU while adding 2 runs themselves for a 4-2 triumph. It was a win for Pitcher Jordan Watson and a save for Cesar Figuereo.
