COLLEGE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

* NAIA *

Marian Knights helmet newREMATCH – Daytona Beach was the site of this National Championship Game reuniting the MARIAN UNIVERSITY KNIGHTS and the defending champs  – the SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY RAIDERS. Last year the Knights lost to the Raiders in the title tilt but this time around Marian U led 14-0 by Halftime. Neither team scored in the 3rd Quarter but the Knights outscored the Raiders 17-14 in the 4th for a 31-14 victory and their 2nd crown.  * The Knights are the 2015 Champions of NAIA football! *  

 * NCAA DIVISION TWO *

Northwest Missouri BearcatsBEARCATS BACK ON THE THRONE – Since 1998 the NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE BEARCATS have won 5 National Championships and played in 9 title games, making them the most dominant team in D2 football for nearly 2 decades. Yesterday they took on the SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY RAMS, who were playing in their very first championship game. The Bearcats dominated from start to finish, winning by a final count of 34-7. * The Bearcats are the 2015 Champions of NCAA Division Two! *

* NCAA DIVISION THREE *

Mount Union Purple RaidersPURPLE REIGN – The UNIVERSITY OF MOUNT UNION PURPLE RAIDERS squared off against the UNIVERSITY OF SAINT THOMAS TOMMIES in the Stagg Bowl – D3’s title game. Both teams came into the game with 14-0 records and at the Half the score was knotted up at 14-14. The Purple Raiders led 35-28 to end the 3rd Quarter then pulled away in the 4th for a 49-35 triumph and their 12th title. * The Purple Raiders are the 2015 Champions of NCAA Division Three! *  

 * HBCU * 

North Carolina A&T AggiesCELEBRATION BOWL – For the first time the HBCU title was settled on the field instead of via polls. The NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES did battle with the ALCORN STATE BRAVES in a game pitting the MEAC Champs against the SWAC Champs. The Aggies led 21-6 in the 1st Quarter but by the end of the 3rd the Braves had fought back to cut the North Carolina A&T lead to just 27-20. Both teams added 14 points in the 4th Quarter, making it a 41-34 Aggies win. * The Aggies are the 2015 Champions of HBCU football. *
