Hello from your old anarchist buddy Balladeer, but you can just call me “the puppet of Jews” like the Muslim fanatics who threaten me do. It’s no secret that Islam treats women like slaves and worse. It’s also no secret that American Liberals are far too cowardly to criticize Islam the same way they criticize Christianity for its own outdated views.
Last week FEMEN, a feminist group in Europe, staged a topless protest against Islam’s violent, savage and subhuman treatment of women. There was a lot of action outside the Grand Mosque in Paris, where FEMEN members showed they have more backbone than all of the American Left put together by burning a Salafist flag while carrying on their protest.
Slogans that the women had written on their exposed bodies included “My body belongs to me – it is no one’s ‘honor’. “, “Fuck your morals” and others. They also chanted “Our boobs are stronger than your stones”.

A photo of one of the Muslim security guards kicking a female protestor got plenty of attention on Facebook, which gutlessly banned the photo so as not to offend the savage sensibilities of Islamists. Here is the photo in question.
The typically cowardly folks at HuffPo (the online publication for pampered white children of privilege) have already clucked their disapproval of someone standing up to the misogynist and homophobic Muslim faith by claiming demonstrations like this will be “counterproductive”. ANYTHING to cover up their own cowardice!

Christianity, itself, is not wildly outdated, but the brand of pseudo-Christianity trotted around by the “Christian” Right is another matter. Even Ghandi admired Christ, but couldn’t stand those who lived under the label “Christians”.
The HuffPo is relatively gutless and predictable. It’s the Drudge Report of the Left. Few religions, at the moment, get the Christian treatment, but it’s a running gag. (Hipster Romans: feeding Christians to lions, before it was cool.).
In a perfect world, we’d all sit down and discuss things like adults. We would also, in this perfect world, agree to disagree where necessary.
Not going to happen.
Well, in my view Christianity and all other religions are pretty outdated. I don’t think we know enough about Jesus and what he may or may not have actually said, so I think Gandhi was basing his opinion on insufficient info.

I agree it won’t happen either. Like Oliver Wendell Holmes said about the generation that fought the Civil War: “We believed the conflict was inevitable.”
The Christian “Right” may be passe, but self-sacrifice never goes out of style. That’s the whole thing in Christianity that 99% of Christians and all atheists seem to miss on a regular basis. Probably because no one is paying attention to anything but their own shouting.
If you want to make an atheist, beat them with the Bible and tell them God told you to do it. If you want to make a psycho-fundie Christian force-feed nihilism on a rusty spoon, hoary with age. Don’t these people understand that they’re counterproductive??? LOL

Congratulations for being brave enough to speak out for freedom and equality. Just to let you know we had the same Femen protest here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in front of a local mosque, what made me realize only the women will change the world history, since the men are a bunch of cowards.

For the same reason it was the rest of the world’s business to pressure South Africa to end Apartheid. I couldn’t agree more! People got more outraged over bullfighting in Mexico and Spain than they do over the Muslim world’s ugly, ugly treatment of women!
