Comment: Live long and prosper. Had to be said. Obviously, though, the Cal (PA) teams are named after the god Vulcan, the Roman counterpart of the Greek Hephaestus. The logo shows the Big V swinging his hammer while working in his volcanic forge, and once again we get to see my college sports obsession and my mythology obsession mingling. The Vulcans football team makes regular appearances in the D2 playoffs.
