DROVERS BASEBALL COMES BACK TO BEAT NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE

CHICKASHA – The Drovers grabbed a much-needed conference win with an RBI single by Robert Summers deep in the ninth against Northwestern Oklahoma State. Shortstop Regulo Moy scored the winning run.

Sophomore David Garcia started on the mound for the Drovers but stepped down in the fourth inning. Josh Goodman pitched three more innings, striking out five batters.

It was USAO’s closer, senior Jeremy Hey, who was credited with the win . He pitched the final 2.1 innings and didn’t allow a single run.

The win brings USAO to 23-20 overall and 10-16 in conference play. At press time, the Drovers were sixth in the conference standings.
